I have a Clio 1.2 16v 2003, which as suddenly started to have this problem of starting up fine, it then loses power, unable to accelerate it hen revs up on its own, then drops revs, I have had numerous diagnostics on it, they say its a wiring problem, it has just started showing up the Engine Management Light also, I then took it to a mechanic who works for renault who gave it a check using Clip Software, he said my ECU had water damage corrosion on certain points on the control board, He advised I get a new ECU, I know these can be expensive, but how can I be sure it is that, how long would it have taken him to take off the ECU to check the it had water damage corrosion, he only had the car for about two hours. I am now at my wits end as I dont know who or what to believe when they say its this or its that HELPPPPPPPPPP PLEASE..Thanks
