Scenic 1.5 dci 100, DF097-P0325

I got the car a week ago and thought it wasn't running quite right (idle seemed erratic) and service light wont extinguish so I put on my diagnostic and got these codes,


I assume P0325 is the knock sensor rather than Accelerometer ?

DF097 cam shaft sensor makes sense as I found this connector next to the injector rail, Not plugged into anything.


Reconnected cam sensor but came back same fault DF097 so i replaced with a new sensor and sure enough it throws the same codes at me again. Tried erasing them both but still come back.
Anyone have a clue whats going on please ?

Well of course I got a new to me car so her indoors has gone one better and took delivery today of her brand new Clio Dynamique Medianav S 1.5 dci auto.
She has not even let me have a try of it yet !

Basic key fob question

Clio 1998 think it's a Clio II.

Key fob - 1 or 2 CR2016 batteries?

I have one in at the moment and it does work but it's very hard, I have to press very hard and several times to get it to lock and unlock.

No range. I have to stand and point it through the window.

Thinking either missing battery, and therefore lacking punch or the must be a way to improve contact?

New to clio - things to check

Hi

New to the clio world... Bought myself a super cheap clio out of circumstance.

Just wanted tips on what I should go over. I'm no mechanic but basics should be ok.

I'm not going to dump any real money into this til I know it's worth it! Thing is, it's only had 2 owners and pretty low mileage for the age. Might turn out to be with keeping.

Sooo... From your experience please add or amend the following? Any gotchas or things to look out for?

1998 Clio 1.4 RT Manual, 74K miles

Change plugs
Change oil (what type?) and filter
Change air filter
Cambelt change due I think - reasonable price from non dealer?
Visual brake check
Coolant change
Air bag light is on - gonna check plug under passenger seat

Anything else? Any cheap worthwhile tuning tweaks etc?

RX4 High Engine Idle Speed

Hi

Hope somebody can help. I believe this problem has been around but I cannot find a thread for it.

RX4 2001, Privilege, manual, 2000cc, 330 000km, regularly serviced.

Idles erratically above 2000 rpm on cold ambient days (<20°C). Worse the cooler it gets. OK on hot days (>30°C). Doesn't appear to depend on engine temperature.

Seems to be one of the sensors is faulty - but which one ?

Toxic Fume filter system light and Service light on together constantly

Hi all, please please help me... I've had to have a new radiator put in my Magane 1.6 vvt 53 plate but before that the car overheated and I had to keep going for a small while to get it home.. Now the Service and Toxic warning light is constantly on and I'm worried that I have damaged the engine. I can't see any messages on the dashboard. Help ? :crying:

Rear Caliper Carrier Bolt Removal - Megane Coupé (MK3 2010)

Hey guys,

Just had a quick look under my car to check to make sure I've got all the sockets I need for my rear brake change in a few weeks and for once it's paid off as I've found a Star bit holds my rear brakes caliper carriers on.

Does anyone happen to know the size required to remove these? I tried slotting in my old trusty T50 socket only to find it's too small, so instead of guessing an buying a couple of the next sizes figured I thought I'd ask first.

I did find this guide (http://www.renaultforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=91269) which said in the comments that a 13mm hex socket would do the job, but being that the guide was probably written for an older Megane (mk 2 probably?) and I'd also like the right tool for the job which is why I'm asking here.

If you need any pics let me know.

Scenic Megane II electric problems

I have Megane II Scenic diesel and problem is draining battery over night, but I noticed that display will not turn off when I switch off the engine and come out of the car and lock it. Still display is on, and in the morning - no power to start engine. I replaced battery, nothing helps. Every night I have to disconnect battery from the car. Please, advice.

Espace III 3 exhaust manifold suspect leaks / cracked

Hi. My Grand Espace III has been doing 'phut phut phut' from the front exhaust area when I start up, but only for 1 or 2 minutes. Seals up once under way, but does seem to be getting a slightly bigger 'phut' recently. Wife can't even hear it.

It has been doing it for over a year now, but I don't do many miles so haven't concerned myself about it too much.

However, the whole exhaust system is now rusty and needs replacing, from front cat down pipe and the rest. My fear is that the disruption in replacing the down pipe might aggravate this leak. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that it is actually the down pipe union that is leaking, but I do not seem to be getting many 'good luck' stories recently so I rather think it is a cracked manifold or leaking gasket.

My efforts so far reveal the following thread;

which is useful and I'll probably see if the link to a potential supplier is still possible. Otherwise, if I do end up needing to replace it then it appears I will need to go to 'lrt-automotive' and get either the K7601 or the more expensive K7602. These seem to come in at 550 euros or 430 pounds from the places I have found. Not asked Renault directly yet, just pre-empting the high cost and doing the internet trawl.

That previous thread also indicates a partial engine drop, so big job too ... :crazy: ... which I'd ask a garage to do so more big money.

Any suggestions on anything else to consider, or any tips on how to proceed, are most welcome.

I'd also be keen if anyone could explain espace engine numbers. The K7601 part (Renault #8200266475) runs to engine no. 0990726 and covers all 2.0 16V engines on Laguna, Megane, etc. to March 2001, and K7602 (Renault #8200266466) is espace only after. My engine no starts 'C00', so is that after '099'? Again, good luck stories are rare these days so I am presuming it is the more expensive manifold for me!

Hi I have Renault laguna dynamique estate n my heaters seem 2 b all the same I turn the dail 2 change from front window 2 maybe blowing at me but it all seems to be the same setting n doesn't blow on front windscreen any ideas??

Hi I have Renault laguna dynamique estate n I cant seem 2 put my full beam on normally dne by pushing the lft arm I can flash by pulling but no full beam that stays on confused. Com lol any help appreciated cheers

Clio IV - Creaking Noise at the rear

Hi all,

My3 month old Clio has just gone into the dealers to sort out a horrendous creaking noise at the rear of the car. Seems to be coming from passenger side corner and terrible if there is twist across the rear axle. I cant tell if its suspension or interior plastics. Nothing seems loose inside.

They need the far for a week apparently so got a courtesy car.

Car has only done 1700 miles.

Got the usual 'this sounds like an unusual problem' from the dealer but saw someone else s quick comment in here that theirs is going in for the same. My car does have the spare wheel kit if that makes a difference...

Just wondered has anyone else had this problem and if so, what the cause was??

Hiya, I have just bought a 07 laguna dynamique 2.0 dc.
I dont know how, but did not notice that the rubber seal on the drivers side of the windscreen was missing.
Question is, is this going to cause a water leaqk, do these come in one compleate unit or in sections,?
Does anyone know where i can get one.?
Is it a D.I.Y or operator job?

dangerous wiper problem!!!!!

hi all
got a problem with the wipers slowing down then stopping completely in heavy rain,i say this is dangerous because it happened yesterday on the motorway in a torrential downpour.after pulling over and waiting for a while they started again.could this be a water drainage problem ???? ie motor getting flooded????. I have just spent 15 mins on the drive with wipers on full speed and no problem at all ?????
any suggestions please

Espace gearbox problems

Hi

I have a 2000 Espace 2.0 16v. She has done 113k.
Recently, within the last 500 miles or so, I've noticed a whine and feint rumbling sound from the front of the car when either accelerating, driving or slowing down and which stops when stationary. Rumbing sound is a bit more pronounced on right hand corners for some reason.

Not sure if its a co-incidence but the problem seemed to start after a steady 125 mile cruise down the M5 during which smoke started coming out from under the bonnet when I pulled into the services.

Having limped home my local garage put the smoke down to an oil leak from rocker box gasket or camshaft oil seal causing a build up that then got onto the exhaust. Have cleaned her up and just getting rid of residual oil. The garage thought the whine could be the gearbox. the noise is getting louder and its getting harder to sync when changing from 2nd to 3rd unless done very slowly.

Anyone got any thoughts. If its the gearbox on the way out is this likely to be a big expensive job.
