Hi all,
Been lurking for a little while and signed up a couple of weeks ago (I think, OAP see).
Gonna be needing some help soon, rear windows have jacked in as well as speed's 2 & 4 on the blower. Idiot light is on the handbrake even though it work's fine....:crazy:

Renault Clio 1.2 Mk2 Boot 12V Socket

Hi, Recently replaced the 12v socket in the car but this is only on when the keys are in the ignition. I was thinking of having a 12V socket in the boot with a switch but not having to have the keys in the ignition, say for camping or just charging stuff and been able to leave it in the car!
Im guessing the ideal thing to do would be straight from the battery with a in line fuse, how would i go about feeding the wires to the boot?

2003 Megane Scenic II Electronic Handbrake

Hi

Sorry if this makes no sense im still adjusting to the forum.
We are due to pick up this Scenic http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1913331800...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT very soon, put a deposit down last week. Now we have only ever owned fords so this is a completely new experience for us. I found out the dash is a common problem, this one was changed in 2008. But the electric handbrake is a little more worrying. Its temperamental. Apparently Renault recalled some because of this but how do i find out if this one has already been looked at, or if it needed to be looked at.
What would it cost us and is it a huge problem?

Drivers Door Lock

Hi All,

I have got a Megane III GT180 and i keep setting the alarm off when going back to the car as the Drivers door seems to not lock properly when i walk away from it, but the alarm does arm.

I have had it connected to the Diagnostic tool and the codes i get are

DTCA840 Drivers door Locking - Permanent
DTCA841 Drivers door Locking - Permanent
DTCA843 Drivers door Locking - Intermittent

Would anyone have any useful advise for me on what part it is that has possibly failed or even a reset procedure for the locking system?

Hi All,

Just joined as I have just found the forum after looking for a fault code thats come up on my Megane III GT180.

Having used previous forums for other makes of cars i have had they are a fountain of knowledge, I hope this one proves to be just as good if not better.

Can you update LAGUNA MK3 radio

Hi, I am having a few issues with the car radio and bluetooth on my HTC phone
95% of the time it cuts out during a call, sometimes it just refuses to connect at all :mad:
I have the latest Android software for this phone 4.1.2 so I can't update the phone.
Is there anyway I can update the radio's software?
I does not have any usb connections I can see.
Any help would be great.

Best Option for my Bumper?

Hi all,

So I bought a Clio Dynamique and I want to get it looking nice.

First thing I want to do is sort the paint out on my front bumper pictured below:



As you can see theres a massive area missing and also 100's of little white spots. Not sure how this happened as it was like this when I bought it.

What is my best option? I'm open to any suggestions.

03 laguna initiale hunting

My 03 Laguna estate engine revs started hunting at just over 2100rpm and then peter out again after 2600rpm, this went on for sometime (6 months), but has now increasingly more so of late.

2004 Clio extreme 3 front fog lights

Hi guys and gals, iam new to forum, I have a problem with my fig lights front, I have replaced bulbs and checked fuses but still don't work, when I turn the light stalk to put them on the light on dash doesn't paper for front does for back,

Does this mean the stalk is faulty or is there a relay to replace?

was driving my megane and from no where i had the spanner symbol come on with check esp flash up on the dash,
with this my steering became stiff and hard to turn the wheel.
once the light went steering came back, but now does it more often the longer car is running.

any suggestions what this could be as need to got to work and unsure to drive this other than to a garage.

Alarm issues megane

Hi all in having problems with my Meganes alarm. The car has been the alarm off when it is locked, sometimes it will have the buzzer going along with the hazard lights then other times it is just the hazards showing. The car has had problems with the heater resistors and the passenger door window has given problems but the window is 100% closed and recently the dipped headlight has blown the bulb?

Any help would be great

Just joined to get some info on self fixing Renault electrical faults. Picked up my '05 Grand Scenic II Maxim and already trying to figure out the faults with windows (surprise, surprise!). Lots of info and FAQ's to paw my way through so hopefully I won't be bringing anything to new to the party.

Window motor polarity

I didn't want to raise a zombie thread so thought I'd try for a quick answer to an odd problem.

05 Grand Scenic II Maxim 1.9dci
The problem was first noticed when I tried deadlocking the car with the key card and the O/S/R window wound itself open. Had to start the car to wind it back up, stopped and tried again with the same result. I have browsed and searched and realised this must be the automatic window closing system in action but in reverse for the one window. So, I checked the switches and both drivers door and passenger door switches work the wrong way round i.e. switch down for window up and vice versa. It's the only window that has the switches working this way (N/S/F window isn't working at all but that's yet to be investigated).

The question is, before taking everything to pieces, is this going to be at the motor end or on the back of one of the switches? With modern car electrics the plugs are normally single entry style so how could this one window be working backwards to all the others?

Megane Bluetooth

Hello,

Have been using the Bluetooth hands free in my Megane fine, but in the last few days I can not connect my Iphone to it. I have tried my husbands phone but this does not connect either. I have tried unpairing the phone but then couldn't pair it again. I have also tried resetting the phone settings, updating the phone system and resetting the car phone settings. The system is a Radiosat classic Bluetooth.

Any one else found a solution for a similar problem?

clio mk2 dci expression 52 plate rear heater dash light and hazard switch

hi all
hoping someone can point me in the right direction,
the heated rear screen light on dash has started to come on and stay on when switching the ignition on there is an audible click at this time, but also the hazard light switch illuminates at the same time, the hazard switch operates correctly when pushed. Any help with this appreciated

Radio code input not displaying

Short story, I cant input the code for my radio because the input 0000 wont display.

Long story:

Hi there, first time poster, first car as a matter of fact. I have a 2001 Renault Clio Grande (The Grande part is a lie) and a few months ago my battery went flat. This triggered the lockout on the radio, but I didn't connect the two events straight away. I spent some time mashing random buttons while driving and while I did notice a 0000 flashing on the display, again I didn't connect it to a code lockout until later.

Now, however, after realising what's going on and finding my code I'm not being offered the oppertunity to actually enter it.

I've waited with the key in the correct position (the one before actual ignition right?) for 32 mins+ to result.

I then tried a factory reset as detailed here (thanks guys, found it through this forum). After performing the reset the radio started beeping at me over Radio 1 (not that I think that's relevant) for a couple of minutes until falling silent again. Then nothing. Now every time I turn the radio on I get two minutes of beepy radio then silence, and still no display!

Very grateful for any advice, thanks
