I am having difficulty with my garage. Have 'check injectors' warning sign and garage are saying that it is the Diesel Relay Switch. Having replaced the switch, the warning still remains but the garage are saying that it is because they are yet to wire it into the loom properly. Apparently it is very tricky and they are waiting for the auto electrician to finish the job. Does this sound right. I am not that knowledgeable.

I have a kangoo with an air con fault. The problem is I now know what's wrong but renault can't seem to get the part. It's been on order since November last year!
The part needed is 8200095112b it's a air con interface located behind the ash tray under the dash.

New injector now have a leak
Frustrated.
I have a 1.6 2005 Grand Scenic. It has been driving fine for months. Friday it broke down. Felt like it was dragging a ton of concrete and check emmissions / check injector message flashed with an orange engine light. AA came and said it was my coils and replaced 2 of them. Came to car next day after only doing 4 miles since repair and same thing happened. Another AA guy came out and said it was injector problem. So car been to garage and had no.3 injector replaced. I have only done app 8 miles since having car back from garage and in those 8 miles I'm driving the worst car ever. It doesn't start first time from cold, and drives quite sluggish for first half mile or so, and I've noticed a leak of some sorts. There is quite a large stain on my drive now. Doesn't feel like oil and oil level fine. Took car out for a drive and parked a bit further up drive to see if it was a one off, but now have another stain on drive.
Called garage who stated its nothing to do with them. They seem to think that miraculously I have a different fault and have volunteered to check it out if I pay them as they say it would be nothing to do with nay work they have done.
I'm frustrated as I don't believe them. Before this weekend my car had no leaks, started first time and drove really well even when cold.
Any ideas????:confused:

Clio radio Broken - Display permanently on - battery flat
Hi,
A couple of days ago (after some wind and rain) I've discovered my 2006 Clio's radio is won't switch on and the LCD display on the console won't switch off. As a result, the battery keeps running flat.
Any ideas what this could be and is it an easy fix?

Megane 1.5 DCi Dynamique Auto (2013) - Loss of power
Have an intermittent fault causing a loss of power as follows-
The car is 18 months old and has done 30,000miles.
This problem has occured infrequently over the last 2 months and only from a start up.
The engine starts up fine but there is no power; maximum speed, 50mph with very poor acceleration.
The problem clears usually after about 1/2 - 3/4 mile although once it took 7 miles before it cleared.
Stopping the car and restarting may or may not clear the problem.
Weather and temperature does not seem to be a factor.
There are no warning lights and the garage informs me that no error codes have been recorded although on 2 occasions recently there was a single warning 'ding' and a light flashed for a fraction of a second; too short to see which one. This was not accompanied by the 'loss of power' symptom and may be unconnected.
It was thought that the fuel filter may be blocked and that has been replaced but to no effect.
The car performs and drives beautifully apart from these random occasions

What is a Mod or Not ??
Hi, would the installation of a centre console armrest invalidate the insurance? there's an article in BBC this morning about a driver who placed some stickers on the hood and sides of her car. Insurer said that it's a modification and wont pay off. Any ideas folks? TIA

2001 clio 1.2 16v ongoing misfire...
Hello all.
Thought I would put this to all you knowledgeable people :)
Our clio (96,000) has developed a misfire on idle and throughout all revs. Diag at a local garage said misfire on cylinder 2 and I think cylinder 4. Was told to replace the coil and leads assembly and new plugs (NGK). After replacing these the fault is still exactly the same. The black cover I think you all refer to is which covers the ecu? Well that is still there and not loose and none of the wiring appears to be rubbing on it. The wiring to the ecu connector blocks which comes out of the hard square moulded protected cover seems ok. There is also a tapping noise coming from what I think is the charcoal canister near the headlamp. There is also a slight hissing noise from the iac valve and the o rings on it seem damaged, but I wasnt sure that this would cause it to misfire but just cutting out fault (which it doesnt do). It has also failed to start on a couple of occasions and the only way to get it to start is persistence!
I noticed a bit of green on the wiring to the relay block near the battery which I cleaned out and also check and cleaned the battery negative lead to body connection.
It has also been compression tested and is Ok
All out of ideas now. It seems like its a guessing or throw parts at it game to the garages I have spoken to.
Could it be that although the loom looks ok that it still could be faulty? Any info on what I can check for tell tail signs will be much appreciated.

Fault Code on Renault Scenic11
Hi Guys, been missioning with a scenic 11 1,6. It had a new head gasket placed onto it. We got the car running now all of a sudden its not firing on cylinder 2 and . Done compression test all good, swapped individual coils around all good, checked injectors and they all working.
Car goes into limp mode and sounds like a miss fire. Even checked all the spark plugs.
We plugged our launch into it and comes up with a fault code DF232.
Need to get this car out of my shop. just at a loss what the problem could be.
Any help will be great.

No start Laguna 2
hi all, first post here.
just bought a laguna 2 that currently wont start, the igition will turn on after a bit of messing with inserting the keycard a couple times but engine will not turn over. just sounds like its trying to but getting no fuel. battery voltage is not great but does not cause lights to dim on pressing start. have hear d car running so i know it can start. has got some fuel in for certain. water pump is suspected to be leaking but since i cant get the bonnet to open at moment thats hard to check.
so basicly what im asking is:-
1. any ideas on the starting problems. car does show stop and serv lights when ignition is on.
2. any ideas how to open bonnet since the release handle is actually loose and hanging under dash

Clio DTI air locks in cooling system
Hi guys, Just done the timing belt and waterpump on my clio 2 1.9 DTI.
How do I bleed the cooling system as my car has no bleed screws anywhere that I can see.
There is none on the thermostat housing, none anywhere that I can see on the heater matrix hoses, none that I can feel on any of the coolant hoses and there is nothing on the radiator (I have read guides for the megane and scenic with bleed hoses but im almost positive there are none on mine).
Im pretty sure I am close as I have roughly 5 litres of coolant in the system, but the rad wont heat up nor will the heating.
The temp gauge seems to be getting a reading but I cant run the car for long as the expansion bottle starts over flowing.

Replacing wishbone on Clio mk3 dci
Hi I'm looking to replace the wishbones/arms on my 2007 Clio mk3 DCI.
Anyone did this before and could give me quick walk through.
Done them on my pug 206 but on that getting ball joint out and in was a mare and also had to move driveshaft out of the way.

Renault Can Clip & Injector Programming
Hi all,
I have really bad starting issues on my Kangoo 1.5dci. I've been going through hundreds of topics on this forum working out what the cause could be. After doing a leak-off test I've found injectors 2+3 pouring fuel back.
I've now got new injectors and a Renault Can Clip system to hopefully fix the issues. My question is what are the steps with Clip to reprogramme the codes?
I've briefly plugged it into the van earlier to have a poke about but it wasn't obvious!

Scenic with low power
Hi guys, my scenic 1.5dci mk 2 2005 is low on power especially on hills, garage had this two weeks ago and said they had just pushed pipes back but would not confirm which ones and it seemed ok until now, took it back to garage and was told all pipes are ok but reads fault codes DF427 turbo actuator control and DF089 inlet pressure monitor, changed MAP sensor for DF089 and idle speed seems to be smoother and was advised to replace boost pressure solenoid 8200575400 and now waiting for delivery and hope that it brings turbo back in , have you any further advise please as im a retired car mechanic and im nearly 70 years of age and too old to be climbing under cars for too long.

Clutch problems
Replaced clutch,flywheel and slave 18 months ago after clutch total failure. Few weeks ago notice clutch peddle not returning to the up position and eventually unable to get into gear. System bled and car ok for a couple of days then same problem again. Had new master cylinder fitted but again ok for a few days then same problem. System bled again, ok again for a couple of days then problem returned? Car not loosing any fluid but air seems to be getting into the system.?

New EGR valve

I was driving around for a couple of weeks with a sluggish clio 1.5 dci with black clouds pouring out of the exhaust, after speaking to a local garage ( good garage scheme member ) they recommended a removal and blanking of egr valve. £130 later and it was done - picked the car up up and no huge plumes of smoke but still under powered. After 9 months of slow driving it started to hesitate under heavy acceleration and finally down even under normal driving. I finally took it to my local garage who advised to change the egr and bingo - the power is back but what the previous garage had done shocked me - instead of removing the egr valve they plugged the hose with a nut and welded it in place - which split the hose and caused the leak and lack of power.
i guess my real question to ask is how do you blank off the egr valve as a mechanic?
