Clio 2003 1.4 16v turns over doesn't fire.
I have posted before regarding this problem but I am still at a loss. My Clio refuses to start, it turns over but won't fire up. So far I have changed the plugs and leads and yesterday changed the throttle body. The crank sensor was replaced but with a cheap after market part. The sensor only was changed not the wiring.
Any ideas?

Renault Megan 2 1.4 16V revs problem
Hi everybody!! I'm Renault service(not autorized) and I have some problems with Megan 2 1.4 16V 98hp. The car hold high rev's - around 1600 to 1800rpm. I already changed all of the rubber sealings on the inlet manifold, the trottle body( it's from the old type which Renault mount on Megan and Scenik 1) and finally we decide to change the ECU. The result is big 0....... the same story all the way. The temperature sensor is ok too. What else could be?!? I throw some water over the engine, but without result. When I removed the black plastik air filter holder and pushed the trottle body slightly the rev's goes down to normal or just the car stops because of missing air. That mean that "something" hold the trottle in wrong position..... In the same time, when I connect the Clip everything looks perfect, no errors at all. I mount the trottle body to another car and it works perfect!

renault master fuel injector won't refit
Hi, I am trying to refit fuel injectors but on taking out the old ones, the little metal sleeves in which the bolts go through have come out with the bolts, now when I try to refit the injectors they won't bolt down. I have tried to tap the sleeves back in but they won't go in which means the bolts will not go back into their original position to hold the injector tightly.
If anyone can help it would be appreciated!

red flashing light on the dash
I have searched all over the internet to try and find a solution to my problem with my car not starting everywhere but my issue seems to be different to the rest.
I put the key in and turn it but the red light on the dash just flashes at me but when i turn the key to start the engine it tries to start but wont actually get started. Everyone else seems like their car dies due to the ECU but mine will attempt to start.
It used to do this every now and again but now I am completely unable to get the car running. The central locking still works but the light persists to flash at me. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery as that used to work but does not anymore.
Please help me!!

dash trim help
how do you get the dash trim off the clock and radio and around heater vents need to change dash display but seem to un clip it. don't want to break it

Espace 1.9 tdi 53 plate. Noise when accelerate
Hi everyone..
Really getting fed up with this car now!!
Ok.. So car starts fine, drives and sounds ok until I put foot down, it sounds like air is being sucked in or blown out. It's been doing this for approx 2 months, then the other day I turned the heater fan up full and hears a loud pop. I turned it down then back up and It did it again! It's ok if I turn it only halfway. When this 'pop' happens it sounds like the air isn't coming out, like its a flap shutting, it sounds like it's coming from inbetween the front seats!
So I took it to the local garage, he put it on the ramp, apparently the the cover thing under the engine had loads of oil in it! He says it's the turbo on its way out! And to try and stall the engine if it starts revving up. So now I'm worried to drive it. I took it back today and he put the diagnostic tester on it, he says the boost is low and it could just be a split hose!
Re. The heater he is going to try re gassing the air con to see if that helps.
My question is does anyone have any ideas with this limited info, it seems to be one thing after another. Should I just get rid?
Oh.. Just to add. There is no warning lights on dash.

espace mk3 swap keys, bcu, ecu barrels query
Hi, since I have owned my car this last yr or so
the central locking hasn't worked of the keyfob. the key wont fit the glovebox, the batteries inside have been replaced with correct items, I have tried the holding the locking button inside method and nothing. my local automotive locksmith couldn't connect with ecu and neither has the AA.
I am know feeling safe to assume the previous owner replaced the barrels etc but missed something somewhere along the line.
I am buying a donor car soon for various other little things for my car and probably the electrics and keys etc. the car im buying is 1 yr older than mine but same spec and engine exactly.
can I swap ecu bcu barrels and keys to get mine back to how it should be and any ideas or tips welcome. sorry for waffling but trying to give as much info as possible to get a good resolution.

2007 trafic radio/clock/pwr windows
Hi, can anyone tell me if radio + clock are connected to electric windows? The windows were disconnected due to a dodgy d/s regulator (d/s window would go down but need help to go back up), so now both e/windows do not operate, however, it seems there is no power to radio + clock. A dodgy relay recently caused loss of power + smokey dashboard/burnt radio connector, so hoping loss of power to radio is simply due to the e/windows being disconnected if that makes sense?
Any help/suggestions appreciated

Gearbox oil change at home or specialist
Hi I have just bought a 2002 laguna 3.0 V6 Privilege and the gearbox is not as smooth as I would expect and I was just wondering if I should do a partial change at home or get it flushed and changed professionally. It has done 77000 miles with unknown service history. If I get it done by a specialist how much would I expect to pay?

My Clio has gone :crying::crying:
Sadly I have been forced to scrap my 1994 Clio 1.9 diesel. It needed a new alternator, radiator and clutch, etc. But the engine was still running sweet. If it had lasted to March it would have been 20 years old - who says Renaults don't last eh!! Overall the cost of repairs would have been in the region of £550 or so which was much more than the car was worth so in effect it was an uneconomic repair. The scrap guys came with a truck and I was able to jump start it and it was driven on to the flat-bed so at least it went with some dignity. I bought the car 12 years ago for £800 so it has served me and my family well and apart from general maintence gave me no problems. I got £100 scrap so I calculate depreciation was about £75 per year.
I have no current plans to replace it at least until the Spring of the year.

New car .. New Renault owner .. Warning light....
Hi there. I have just bought a scenic 60plate 11k miles. I've only had it 3 days and when I but the key card in the socket it does a control check and this brown light like and engine stays illuminated. It didn't do it the fists two days.... When I start the engine it goes off... Is this normal or should I take the car back... I haven't had a Renault before....:confused:

had my Kangoo for about 6 months, its only a basic 1.4 petrol, been googling solutions to my problems, and came across this forum, so decided to join up.
Since purchase have busied myself repairing stuff on her, head gasket, water pump, front brakes, timing belt, front springs, clutch, emptying out the cat after it collapsed, to name but a few.
despite its problems, its a delight to drive (on the flat or descending a hill), albeit extremely skittish on the rear, hopping across the road on uneven surfaces, drain covers etc (prob no.1), cant be secured on car parks as no central locking and nsr side slider doesnt lock (no.2). enjoying driving it, not the most economical due to no cat internals but it just goes on and on.
As i am... will start posting my problems as I get time to tackle them, until then, thanks for reading.

megane 1 2001 front offside wing rusting
Hi does anyone where these let water in from inside there is a load of bubbles on my megane osf wing and when i pop them water comes running out one of the panel covers which unclips from the scuttle panel is missing from the o/s
