Red Bull's troublesome start to pre-season testing in Jerez continued on Thursday as they were forced to abandon attempts to run their new car after just three laps because of technical problems.
The world champion team, who entered the day having completed a mere 11 laps over two days with Sebastian Vettel at the wheel, sent new recruit Daniel Ricciardo out on track in the Renault-powered RB10 at lunchtime, but the car lasted less than a lap before grinding to a smoky halt

Hi,
I have just go my brand new clio dymanique today and as soon as I turn on the medianav, there is a very loud beeping noise that I can't figure out what it means or how to stop it! It only comes on when the medianav is turned on but it is unaffected by the volume controls and there are no warning lights or messages to give an indication of what the problem is! It's not a seatbelt warning or anything to do with doors/lights etc and I have taken it to my local dealer who were completely baffled! It is booked in on Monday for them to investigate but I just thought I would see if anyone could come up with a solution so that I could get it sorted sooner! I want to play with my new car and not have to drive around with no music for the next few days! :(

but how good are they? i presume that they must conform to some standards?
someone on here must have fitted some of these at some point!
only ask as i'm thinking of doing the job myself - something i used to do but time and a bit of lazyness crept in.

Danish rookie Kevin Magnussen ensured that McLaren finished at the top of the timesheets for the second session in a row on Thursday by setting the pace on the third day of pre-season testing in Spain.
But there was more frustration for world champions Red Bull as technical issues restricted Daniel Ricciardo to just three laps in the new RB10

Hi there,
I'm new here and i'd greatly appreciate some help with this problem I have.
I have bought a 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v fitted with a D4F 722 engine. The engine in the car currently has a hole in the block, however I am competent enough to swap the engine. I have been given a 1.2 16v engine from an older Renault Clio (2003 ish) which is still a D4F.
However, on inspection of the engine by the side of the one currently fitted in the Clio, the rocker cover / inlet manifold / airbox are different. So my question is, am I able to just swap these parts or is the cylinder head / anything else different too?
Many thanks in advance,
Joe

Hi, I hope you guys can help (and apologies if this is in the wrong place)?
I have a 2010 Grand Scenic 1.5 dci and intermittently it is coming up with low battery, start engine. I have looked all over the internet and on the forums here and can't find an answer. I think the battery might be faulty and the car is under warranty as I've only had it two weeks, but the dealer I bought it off said the battery is testing fine.
Thanks

Hi
I have the code for my radio but the problem I have is that I changed the battery and now when I turn on the radio the word CODE comes up and the time needs setting.
I can set the time no problem but the code does not go to the four dashes for me to enter the code.
My wife tells me she tried to set the code from the book and had maybe 5 or 6 attempts so my question is can the radio freeze.
I left it overnight as many of the responses on the forum state that it takes longer for the chance to enter the code the more errors you make but it just shows code and will not go to the dashes.
Help please.

Okay so I'm having trouble with the car cutting out and not idling and stalling at junctions and upon starting.. When the car has it's revs held for a while it is fine.
http://www.renaultforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=249425
My thread.
So the aim is to help me find part numbers with your expertise so I can change the parts over and try to locate the problem as I'm getting no where.. I don't have time to take them off tonight as I have work and the scrappy is only open money-Friday so would like to do it before the
So the car is a 2004 Megane 2 CC 1.6 VVT (115bhp)(sometimes written as 113)
So part numbers I need help with
1) TDC (crankshaft sensor)
2) Camshaft sensor
3) Engine temp sensor (coolant sensor)
4) Throttle body - DONE
If none of the above help it will be going into the bloody garage
Thanks

Hi all well I know it's Impossible to diagnose a car without seeing or hearing it but ill try my best to be as thorough as I can.
It's an 03 mk2 1.4 megane. With 96k on.
The past few months she's been having starting problems. Completely random, does it from hot and cold. She'll just keep cranking until I let go of the button. Other times she'll start after four or five cranks. Then most of the time she'll start as normal. When idling again hot and cold it's very rough. So much so it vibrates the car. Looking at the engine it's as if Its suddenly pushed forwards or backwards every couple of seconds and In-between normal. When driving she's as smooth as a nut. Well if under heavy acceleration, the engines under load or engine braking. If I'm cruising with very little throttle she'll start to surge slightly. When giving her some throttle if its very small amounts it can be very jerky but that could be nakard engine mounts.
I've fitted new plugs and coils which eased the problem but didnt cure it and now it's back to how it was before. She is always well serviced and all of that so it's not a case of neglect.
Hope there's enough info there to start the ball rolling. Thanks for your time guys n gals.

hello
I have a clio and the right rear wheel is giving me some problems. when I jack the car up there is a sound of something clacking which I think is the spring. how can I check this to make sure. when I looked under the car I couldn't find the problem. also, there is a humming noise from the same wheel and when I turn left the rear wheel area produces a regular clacking sound. could this be the bearings. how could I check. I did the wheel check. I moved the wheel with hands at 3 and 9, then at 12 and 6 oclock position. nothing there. could it be something else.
also, I had a recent clutch put in by some dodgy people "mr clutch". I don't want to take my car back there. they said I should take it back a few times for checkup. what do they check. I don't want to take my car back to them, I don't trust them. what do they check on the clutch and can I do it myself?
thanks

Today in the USA a young american woman turned down the chance of a free all expenses paid holiday in Europe,
The prize was sponsored by a european country hoping to promote cultural exchange.
In a statement Miss Knox said: "Im honored to have been selected, but I travelled and had some experiences in Europe when I was younger,I'm now hoping/had hoped to do some ghostwriting and spend more time in the US.Ive no immediate plans to travel ,depending on cash from the book and safe haven status..er I mean on personal goals"
The holday sponsors "visit Italy and you wont want to leave",declined to comment.
