Now a Laguna 2 owner

Hi All

Just Got myself a Laguna II 1.9 DCi Tourer.
Always liked the Laguna ( The original is still THE most comfortable car that I have ever been in) and I like the style and toys of the Initiale .
I know they have a bit of a bad rep, but I am sure that with the help of this forum any problems that I encounter will be sorted pretty quickly.
The only thing at this point that I don't seem to be able to work is the voice activation button - Pressing it does nothing.

Anyway, here's to many happy miles.

Andy

Struggled to start after Diagnostics and Terraclean.

So I went to a garage today to get my rough idle and misfire sorted. They could find no faults and because the other 5-6 garages before them kept changing the coil packs I told them not bother changing them as there was obviously a deeper problem and the coils were quite new. They suggested to me I have a Terraclean done incase it was a sticky fuel injector. Now I am no idiot and I know that this was just their way of making a few bucks but seeing as I felt it could do no harm and was worth it in the long run I went ahead.

Now as soon as I started her up in the garage car park she struggled to start. Being an idiot and just wanting to get home and cry/hide because noone could fix my car, I didnt go back in and ask why this was. I started it again when home and had no problems but tried it again just now and it struggled a bit again.

Now I know sometimes car ecus have to adjust after having a diagnostic tool plugged in and it did have a terraclean so I'm basically asking is this natural for it to struggle to start or have they basicslly buggered by car even more?

(I'm so depressed with it all I'm on the verge of setting fire to the thing)

Plus I see I've posted this in bodywork instead of engine but cant seem to delete it or change it.

Laguna II Initiale owner interior help

Hi all,

as you may have seen from a previous post on here, I have managed to retro fit the Initiale complete interior into my Dynamique. The only niggle I now have, is the rear door blinds. I need an Initiale owner to help. I need to know how they stay up. I have asked Renault for the hooks to hold them up but nobody can seem to find them as a separate part. So I need to know are they built into the door frame, or into the window seals so I can either manufacture something or try and find an Initiale to liberate the needed bits to fit to mine.

thanks for reading and hopefully helping

Scenic rear sunroof drain exit location.

Hi,

Having solved a very wet Scenic by unblocking the front sunroof drain pipes behind the front wheels and the front scuttle which was also blocked, I now want to go belt and braces and ensure the rear sunroof drain isn't blocked.

Can anybody out there point me in the direction of the rear sunroof drain pipe exit point (assuming there is one?). ie the other end of the pipe to the sunroof where the mud might need clearing.

thanks!

Lesson: 1

A priest offered a Nun a lift.

She got in and crossed her legs,
Forcing her gown to reveal a leg.

The priest nearly had an accident.

After controlling the car,
He stealthily slid his hand up her leg...

The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest removed his hand.
But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.

The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'

Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'

Moral of the story:

If you are not well informed in your job,
You might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson: 2

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.

The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'

'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk.

'I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat,

Without a care in the world.' Poof! She's gone.

'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas, and the love of my life.' Poof! He's gone.

'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch.'

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson: 3

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?' The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson: 4

A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'

'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. It's full of nutrients.'

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch..

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:

Bull **** might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there...

Lesson: 5

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:

(1) Not everyone who ****s on you is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of **** is your friend.

(3) And when you're in deep ****,
it's best to keep your mouth shut!

THUS ENDS THE 5-MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE.

Old Age (not funny really)

A group of seniors were sitting around talking about
all their ailments at Costa Coffee.

"My arms have gotten so weak I can hardly lift
this cup of coffee," said one.

"Yes, I know," said another. "My cataracts are so bad; I can't even see my coffee."

"I couldn't even mark an "X" at election time because
my hands are so crippled," volunteered a third.

"What? Speak up! What? I can't hear you, said one elderly lady!"

"I can't turn my head because of the arthritis in my neck," said one, to which several nodded weakly in agreement.

"My blood pressure pills make me so dizzy!" exclaimed another.

"I forget where I am, and where I'm going," said another.

"I guess that's the price we pay for getting old,"
winced an old man as he slowly shook his head.
The others nodded in agreement.

"Well, count your Blessings," said a woman cheerfully....

"Thank God we can all still drive."

Espace Dashboard Riddle

I have year 2000 2litre 16v JEON Espace, when I pulled into a farm track the other day my dash went completely dead, the track was on a steep upward incline and when I freewheeled back onto the road the dash came back on again!
When i got home I parked half way on the path with the passenger wheel on the road and the same thing happened,
Without turning off the engine I then went onto my drive with a slight downhill incline and yet again it went dead.
I know if I stop the engine in this state it will not start again so I have to be careful about where i park.
I have checked all visible wiring in the engine bay and fuse area and have removed the ECU from under the footwell and checked that also.
This is really puzzling me as I cannot think of anything that would be affected by an incline and kill the dashboard.
Forgot to mention that I have also removed the dash and checked the wiring there also.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Selecting gear after changing clutch and flywheel

$

Just changed my clutch and dual mass on my 2005 grand scenic 1.9 DCi 6 speed. It's an F9Q 812. It has lay for months and only just got round to it. It is now hard to select gear. To get to 5th and 6th you need to lift the reverse tab and move it over a little more. And reverse is a long way over and down. Tryimg to get out of reverse is a nightmare with a good bit of force. When selecting 3rd it's not straight up. It's a bit to the right and up. It's very frustrating to drive it now. Can the gear cables be adjusted or is there a common procedure I have missed. Please help.
