Hi I am looking for a 1.5 dci megane estate between 2005 and 2008, can anyone tell me if the trip computer tells you the actual mpg and the tank range? Also what is the difference between the dynamique and the expression? Anyone give me a review on these please and what mpg do you get thanks.

3.0 v6 dci fan belt change
Hi. I have a 53 plate 3.0 v6 dci grand espace and have a very annoying screech from the fan belt area.lasts 20 seconds or so from start up.I bought a replacement belt
And was looking for a diagram on how to change it.
I presume there's a torx slot in the tensioner which needs pulling down/up to release the tension .
Hoping it's just the belt and not a pulley..

Buying a Laguna
Hi everyone, Just after some advice,My previous renaults have been , 53 reg scenic 1.9dci, 55 reg megane 1.5 dci and presently a 55 scenic 1.5dci,all have been very reliable only had the dash problem and blower speeds.and now I am considering a Laguna 57 reg 1.5dci dynamique, and was wondering if it is a good idea? Its done 70k has history up to 64k drives well and is priced at £3995, any one out there got or had one can give me some advice?

Luguna 2 GT175 Clutch problem
Good morning all,
I own a Laguna 2 GT175 and have done for the last 3 trouble free years. Yesterday I went out to the car and started it as per normal, depressed the clutch to put it into gear and the pedal went straight to the floor (no clutch at all). There is no fluid under the car and the car was perfectly fine the night before when I drove it and parked outside my home.
Does anyone have any ideas what it might be and what the solution nay be and likely cost or if it is an easy fix?

2005 grand scenic 1.9dci motor stop after wash
hi guys and gals, my 2005 scenic 2 1.9dci after a motor wash stopped running, the engine was running during the wash and drove it home, it started the next morning and drove a few miles until just stopping....now it wont start at all??
i have removed the ecu to check for water, replaced the diesel rail pressure sensor and renwed the diesel filter and new top and sensor...about to change the small electrical pump that sits on the main fuel pump.....does anyone have any tips or had the same problem???

Battery & Mist light on dash flickering when parked - Megane 2003
Hi all :) I have a little problem when my Megane is parked, normally only the immobiliser is meant to flicker, but I also have the battery and mist LED flickering. Any idea what this could be? When the car starts it disappears and all is ok. I was at a Renault garage and they said its nothing to worry about, most likely bad contacts. Are they correct? Just a little irritating when you see it :crazy:

Megane 250 starting issues
I have recently purchased a 2010 Megane 250 Cup. Unfortunately it has developed starting issues whereby the engine turns-over many times (cold start) before firing. I have replaced the Battery and tested the Alternator - which is fine. The starter motor turns the engine over without a problem. I have also recently run a full diagnostic which did not show any fault codes. Any ideas?

MK3 Clio dci Fuel Tank Capacity?
Last night i managed to put 57 litres of fuel into my clio. It was dry as i drove it about 30 miles after the fuel warning light came on.
It's been dry before, but I can only recall roughly 54 litres being the max.
Can 57 litres be correct?

hi all
whilst replacing my wiper motor and linkage I noticed I could see the the back of what looks like the blower fan,just to the right of the pollen filter,should there be a filter or cover on this ?????

Vel Satis Auto Gearbox fault? (3.0 DCi)
Hello all.
I'm currently looking for a Vel Satis, and have found one locally at a bargain of just £400, although it does need some work.
Most notably the automatic gearbox has a problem.
The gearbox will shift through the gears manually no problem and goes through reverse all the way to 5th gear with no issue.
However it will not auto shift and must be done manually. the car simply does not change out of first if driven in fully auto.
Is this a common problem? Or does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?

Renault Megane fuel problem?
Hi, sorry if I waffle on a bit but I do not know very much about cars so will try and get to the point as quickly as possible.
I bought a Mk1 Phase II Renault megane Fidji 1.4L petrol on a 02 (2002) plate at a car auction, the car is in very good condition exterior and interior wise but I am beginning to think it has got a problem with either the fuel system or the engine.
During the auction it was driven in to the auction room under its own power and was running and sounded fine, after the auction finished it was taken on a short test drive around the car park and was running and driving fine it was very low on petrol though, it couldn't be driven home that night due to having no insurance so I went to collect it a few days later and this is when the problem started.
It didn't have any petrol in it so on the way to get it I filled a gallon petrol can to put enough petrol in it to get to a petrol station.
when I got to the car I put the petrol in (it was definitely petrol that was put in) and started the engine and it ran fine for about a minute then started chugging for about 10 seconds then cut out, I tried to restart it and it will restart and the engine will run at idle speed but as soon as the accelerator pedal is pressed the engine cuts out, it will restart every time but will not run above idle speed, even just turning the steering wheel and the power steering kicking in will make the engine cut out.
There is a humming noise coming from the underneath of the car near the petrol pump and due to the fact it was literally running on petrol fumes when it was brought to the auction, I thought the petrol pump could of been damaged so it was replaced and the problem is still there.
The car is 45 miles away from my house and is in a car park surrounded loads of other cars so there is not much that can be done to it where it is, it is probably going to have to be brought back to my house on a transporter so I thought I would see if anyone on here has had the same problem or can offer any suggestions of what could be the problem.

ABS Error when Aircon used
I've got a Renault Laguna II 2.0 dci 150bhp dynamic with a very unusual problem.
I've had a hunt through these forums and can find brake problems, as well as Aircon issues, but nothing like my situation.
If I drive the car without the Aircon on everything is fine, it drives great with no errors displayed and brakes seem to work fine (fan blowers on, only yellow Aircon light is off)
However, if I turn the Aircon on by pushing the auto button it blows nice cool air out.. Then within 5 or so minutes my dash lights up with ABS light, ESP warning text and yellow spanner light. Brakes still seem to work fine, just lots of errors displayed.
If I turn off the Aircon, and carry on driving for 5 to 10 mins all lights reset themselves, no need to stop and start the engine or anything.. The errors simply disappear??

megane II fault code
DTC9401 4C and DTC94054D.
Can some one tell me pls what these fault codes are. No engine check light is on just checked with a scan tool and these errors cropped up.

Clio Mk4 Aux Port
Hi,
I have just purchased a new Clio Medianav with the R-Link system and I have been trying to connect my Ipod to the aux port, however I can't seem to select it as a source and when I go into the multimedia menu, the auxiliary selection is greyed out.
Has anyone experienced this/know how I can select the Aux source?
