I have just bought a Megane 2014 plate. I really liked the new design when it came out but it is only now in my budget.
I have come from a Hyundai Coupe so I will miss the power but I hope the handling is much better

Crank Oil Leak?

I notice that a very small amount of oil drips from under the engine at this point in the picture. I mean a really small amount, you don't see it on the road.

Also the clutch is rather juddery. Recently though, my car didn't go anywhere for 3-weeks and when driving it for the first time the clutch was smooth, but after 1-day it was juddering again.

So it gets me thinking, is this a crank-shaft oil seal leak and could it be going on the flywheel?

Oh and yes I've checked all my engine mounts.

Stew died in a fire and his body was burned pretty badly.

The morgue needed someone to identify the body, so they sent for his two best friends, Mick and Paddy.

The three men had always done everything together.

Mick arrived first, and when the mortician pulled back the sheet Mick said, 'Yup, his face is burned up pretty bad. You better roll him over.'

The mortician rolled him over and Mick said, 'Nope, ain't Stew.'

So he brought Paddy in to confirm the identity of the body.

Paddy looked at the body and said, 'Yup, he's pretty well burnt up. Roll him over.'

The mortician asked, 'How can you tell?'

Paddy said, 'Well, Stew had two arseholes.'

'What? He had two arseholes?' asked the mortician.

2007 scenic engine dead.

So bought this 2006 Diesel Scenic about 3 months ago from a small dealer. Few weeks in got a "check injection" message on the dash.Brought it back and was told it was fixed.Not sure of exact resolution.Have been away with the car and On Sunday evening the message came up again and the car ran "rough". Parked it up for the night,next morning on route to local mechanic after a few hundred yards the engine gave a grimacing rattle and squeal and I killed the ignition. Got it towed to said mechanic and preliminary investigation suggests major engine fail to be diagnosed via a strip down.

Here is the crux of the issue. The car is in 3 month warranty provided by dealer by ONE DAY!!! Trading standards have advised me of my rights also. Initially I've had to transport the car back to dealer at my own expense for him and his mechanic to have a look at it.

So I'm just reaching out there to the wider audience for some advice,thoughts and or ramblings

scenic 2 drivers and rear windows not working

HELP HELP HELP

Someone asked me to find out why their windows was not working on a 2004 scenic 2 1.6 petrol. After reading lots of threads and trying different things. Still no joy. Here is the story.

The drivers window and both rear windows was not working.

I opened up drivers door panel. Found the green plastic clip which the window sits on was broken. So bought one from ebay as renault was saying they only sell whole mechanism at a huge cost.

But still no joy. I can hear clicking noise coming from module attached to motor. Many people were saying sometimes water gets inside and causes problems. So i took off module and sprayed with wd40, left to dry and put back. Nothing.

Read about a a mini cube adapter you can buy as a replacement for the module. So I bought one. Fitted today. Still nothing.

Tried holding the buttons up and down. Nothing.
Dont know what else i can do. The drivers window and rear windows still not working. Any ideas?

Hello All,
I have a 55 laguna II 2.0dci (150), the last couple of months, ive been getting an intermittent fault, check injection, when the fault shows the power of the engine drops & im pretty much stuck to 40-50pmh with no power when it comes to acceleration, even had a fiat panda pull away from me,
ive been viewing this forum for a few weeks now & tried the EGR clean out posted by granadaman, Laguna gt175 2.0 dci egr clean, did this today with no success, engine runs fine till around 2300rpm then the fault occurs, leaving me limping at around 45pmh, but if I keep the revs below the 2300, no fault occurs im still not getting full power but im not in limp mode, sometimes when I turn the engine off & on again the fault clears & all is well, full power, but this isn't the norm now, cleaned & checked the glow plugs, cleaned filters etc. still same problem

anyone have any other ideas

trafic won't start

hey guys i have a 2006 renault trafic van they won’t start !!!!
it was running fine then I went to start it up one morning and it wouldn’t start.

I noticed that the hand pump had no pressure so primed the hand primer up but still no start. I sprayed some brake cleaner down the air box and it fired up on the brake cleaner but not for long.
I replaced the fuel filter thinking this would fix it but it didn’t !!!
I then noticed that the fuel pressure regulator was buzzing.
so had a scan tool and it came up with a few codes

1806 Airflow Sensor Circuit

1809 Fuel pressure Sensor Circuit

1805 Fuel Temperature sensor circuit

1822 Fuel Pressure solenoid Valve Circuit

I brought a brand new fuel pressure regulator bolted it in and still the same buzzing noise and van still wont start

Any ideas and where to look next ?

Although technically I don't have a Renault. I thought this site would be the best source of knowledge to repair my current vans.The first is a Movano 2001 with a 2.2 engine presently being converted to a motor home which thanks to this forum I managed to cure it's starting problem it had when I bought it two years ago. The second is a new purchase of a 55 plated 2.5 Interstar with a knackered engine, although running it will not rev and is smoking like a 60 a day veteran. I am awaiting a compression tester to start diagnostics as it appears to be compressing the crank case as well. Many thanks in advance for all the generous answers and wisdom of the current membership. Tom.

clio 55 plate headlining sagging near windscreen

Hi All. The headlining at the front of my clio is hanging down by the windscreen. It looks like there is a clip assembly under the headlining that sits between the hinges for the sun visors right in the centre of the car. Any tips on what to remove/replace to get this fixed ?

'05 Megane 1.5 Error Codes P0089 & P0670

Evening all.

Apologies for my first post being a cap-in-hand effort, but needs must I'm afraid.

I bought this little Megane the other week, and she's a little dinger. Love the 55+mpg I'm getting even though it's mostly short journeys I'm doing!

Anyways, she's got a few issues.

Neither passenger side windows worked. Turned out it was the usual fault. So a local company supply the modules as opposed to the whole regulator, and I got 2 units delivered for €47 total. Windows now working! :d

Driver's side headlight was gone. Was able to get at it with a bit of blind luck, and that's sorted!

What I can't sort myself is the two codes above.

When under acceleration, I get the dreaded "injection fault; Stop" warning. Every so often, when I try start the car, she'll not start first time and I get the same error.

My mechanic has diagnosed the 2 faults:
P0089 - Regulator 1 Performance
P0670 - Glow Plug Module Control Circuit

Can anyone point me in some sort of direction as to how to fix things?

Hi guys, this is my first post and it isn't for happy reasons I'm afraid.

A week today I received my brand new 64 plate Clio Dynamique Medianav, 1.5 Diesel.

So far I really like it.

However, this evening coming home from work as I came of the motorway I pulled up to the lights, dropped into neutral and let out the clutch.
I got the Message "Stop/start unavailable"
According to the manual this is normal and from all the plausible reasons the only one I can see is the "engine is in standby" not sure what that means though?

Anyway I stopped off at Tesco and as I was getting out of the car I noticed a strong smell, a bit like burnt toast/melting plastic.
I couldn't find any evidence of anything being wrong.
Went into tesco and then got back in the car feeling worried. Drove the long way home to test the stop/start and it started working again and the smell had disappeared.

Anyone here have any idea what this could be?

P.S. - It may also be worth noting that on the motorway I had used the cruise control. Not sure why it may be relevant, but as much info as possible right?

Particule Filter Replacement on Renault Grand Scenic II

The FAP on our grand scenic feels like it's coming up for replacement. Rather than pay many $$$ for a dealer to replace - can you do this yourself?

I appear to be able to buy a replacement for around 200ukp off "the internet" but would I need to recalibrate the ECU after fitting which would require special renault tools?

Hello!

I'm a Renault Clio II 1.4 16v Dynamic owner that likes to get his hands dirty every now and then
:).

I came to this forum because of the window washer pump issue that I solved by using one of the posts and wanted to add some pictures of my experience fixing the pump.
Things that I already did to my car:
replaced the front optics which requires to remove the front wheels. Oil spray my clutch every 2/3 months in a specific spot because the pedal gets stiff specially when releasing (ill post some pictures on this). Installed car stereo, speakers and screen. Removed and checked Cabin air filter. Cleaned the vents with steam jet and some anti-bacterial product. replaced many light bulbs.
As you can read...nothing too fancy, I know my limits :o.

After an extensive search i finally got a 2006 Scenic 1.5 dCi 106 hp.First time renault owner but car enthusiast ( so i have made my homework a little).
I want to thank you already because i managed to solve one of it's prblems by checking the forum (reverse sensor 6 speed grarbox).

I have a bunch of problems but one by one maybe with your help and some luck i will solve them all.

2014 Master LM150 question.

Hi, im new on this site and was wondering if anyone can recommend a tuning box for economy for my van, ive tried searching but i cant do it for some reason on my phone. Im very happy with the van but i cant help feeling that its strangled when it comes to driving it on, im getting 33/34 mpg depending on my routes. Ive searched and found several boxes but reviews are scarce on them. Any help appreciated.
