I have a megane cc 1.6 vvt, the engine is **** poor and under powered for a car this heavy and guzzles fuel! Is it worth getting the car re-mapped? Will it make any difference?

                   Scenic RX4 difficult reverse gear
I have a 2002 Scenic RX4 diesel CDi which is difficult to get into reverse gear. All the others are okay. Is this likely to be a problem with the gear change linkages? Might it help to change the gear box oil? Does anyone know if you can adjust the clutch - although it seems okay? Any advice would be helpful please. :confused:

                   sat nav problems grand scenic 2010
Hi everyone just new to this forum hope someone can help i have a 60 plate grand scenic, the sat nav works and the remote control works (when i push buttons blue led light flashes) however when i try to connect- press menu there seems to be no link as nothing happens, i have put brand new batteries in remote checked manual and this forum but no answer i have also removed any mobile devices in case on same frequency, :confused:

Hi new to this.....I have the above car, just fit recon turbo as this blew couple weeks ago....scary as it red lined engine ! Thing is now glow plug light keeps flickering on & off, then stops...confused is something wrong..please help:confused:

                   Scenic won't start - low oil pressure and battery
Hey guys!
I browsed some forums to find some solutions for my problem, but nobody has the exact problem I have.
The car we are talking about is a 2005 Renault Scenic 1.6
My father forget the key-card in its slot last night and it stayed there for 10 hours. When my father tried to start the car, it lighted "low battery" and "low oil pressure" with no sign of fire attempt (engine is quiet as a mouse). However one of the fans (no idea which one) starts ventilating and after 10-15 secs it ventilates even faster and becomes noisier. We disconnected the batter from the car so we prevent the fan of overheating and dying.
Okay, most likely the battery died. We charged the battery for two hours. Another try - same result. My father brought the battery to a service where it was proven that battery is fine, the mechanic tried it even on his Mercedes-Benz.
Another try on the Scenic - same result!... That fan is running insanely fast and the display shows "low oil pressure" and "low battery".
Can anyone suggest some solutions?

                   Leak from fuel filter housing
Hi all
I'm new here and have posted in the new members forum.
I have searched for a solution to my problem but can't find anything so thought I would post a new thread.
My megane recently snapped a cam belt so off to the garage it went, the mechanic is a friend. He removed the head replaced all the valves, put it all back together and all appears to be fine, however before he could call me to go and pick the car up he noticed a pretty bad fuel leak, after a searching for the source of the leak he found that it was coming from the fuel filter housing, straight up and out of the little locating hole that a plastic lug sticks through. He got a replacement housing from a scrap yard and fitted it but the leak is still exactly the same.
The only thing that I can think is wrong is that the fuel pump was damaged when the cam belt snapped and is over pressurising causing the fuel to squirt from the housing, the car ticks over fine and revs as normal.
Does anyone have any clues as to whether or not my noughts on the fuel pump are correct?

Hi I have a 2004 2.2 espace, the o/s/r electric window was not working just a clicking noise when switch is operated, the motor has been changed and its still the same, tried checking the wires and now its stopped the clicking noise and the n/s/r window has stopped working , any ideas ?? :mad:

                   2003 Clio mark 2 1.6 16V blower not working
Hi,
I have read all the posts but none seem to solve my problem. My blower does not work at all. I have removed the resister pack and connected 1-5 and found that that motor then blows on full. I was told that this was a resister pack problem. I have since bought 2 off ebay but still no blower working. I have checked all fuses and relays.
I also pulled out the radio and climate control unit in the dash and checked the connections there. Yesterday I noticed that when the resister pack is connected and that when the pack touches the metal engine the fan then runs on full again. This has been going on for bloody ages.
Unfortunately the nearest Renault dealer is over 300K away so that's not an option.
I am at my wits end and the summer is coming up and there is no way I want to drive it without aircon and blower.
So if anyone has any ideas I am all ears.

Hello.

                   Reno master T31D fuel problem
Hello Every one, I am new to this forum, and hope to find a quick solution to a diesel problem.
I have a Master T31D prima van, its in great condition and has always started spot on, but for this time,
I went to the van turn the key but wont start,
I disconnected the four pipes from the top of the injectors but no diesel come through, so I walked to the petrol station, bought 3 gallon of diesel but still nothing coming through,
IS there a bleed procedure to do etc any advice to help would be appreciated cheers

Based on a 2L diesel mk1 trafic chassis. I have been trying to find the air filter for this beast but with no luck. ( I assume it has one!) The main air intake seems to be a large pipe that feeds from the engine bay and straight into a black box on the side of the engine. This seems to be bolted together and not 'clipped' as I would expect.
Anyone any ideas?

                   scenic 04 rear rubber exhaust mount
Morning new here, I have searched everywhere on how to change the rear mount but found nothing, was wondering if anyone could help me out? Also noticed there is a bit of the bracket welded to the back box, does it need welding?? (Im typing this on my mobile so excuse me if the message is bit vague)

                   Drive shaft problem
Hi guys... 
I have a problem with my laguna 1.9dci est..
First off I am no car expert! So im hoping someone can help me!
I cant seem to find the same problem in the forums anywhere...
Basicly, when I turn left and accelerate I have been getting a loud and violent shuddering noise. It was coming from the passenger side and everyone I spoke to said probably cv joint. I have investigated and taken the passenger drive shaft off and can see the drive shaft has been disengaging from the gear box. And rattling around. The bearings at the box end are now all bashed up. I have got a new drive shaft to put on but I dont think this is going to solve it. Im just gonna muller a new drive shaft!Any idea why it may be doing this? There is very little play on the splines in the box ao I dont think there is a problem there. But cant feel qhere I might be getting movement anywhere else! Like I said I am no expert ao hoping someone else has experianced this and can help!

                   MK2 Laguna 1.9 dci - should I or shouldn't I?
I am looking for a cheap economical diesel car (under £1k) as I will shortly be giving up my company car and commuting 70+ miles a day.
Working in a Renault dealer is enough to put anyone off ever owning a Renault. I do like the brand and some of the products they have produced over the years but there is no getting away from the fact they can be problematic cars. Aside from that, everyone I know who has owned a Renault of the era I am looking at (2000-2006 ish) has had lots of trouble, said they would never own one again, and advised me to avoid.
However a car that I have always liked ever since it was launched has come up.....a MK2 Laguna. The one I am looking at is a 2005 Renault Laguna Expression 1.9 dci.
Having spoken to the mechanics at work (they after all are the post positive about Renaults than anyone) they have all advised to stay clear of the Laguna 2, and look out for a Clio or Megane 1.5dci instead. I understand common faults with this model are egr valves, turbo-chargers, gearbox issues (lay-shaft bearings), key card issues, clutch hydraulics, windows etc.
I would like to hear experiences from anyone that has owned a Laguna 2, particularly with the 1.9dci engine. Are they that bad? How much for example is a replacement turbo, where can it be purchased, and are they easy enough to do? I am capable with cars.
I dont really want an old Clio - I like bigger cars. The Megane is nice but I cant stand the look of the back end.
