Hi, I have an issue with water in the passengers side footwell. The carpet isn't soaking, just slightly wet. However, underneathe the carpet, the underlay is soaking and there is a puddle maybe half a CM deep. The upper part of the underlay that curves towards the glove compartment actually isn't wet - does this mean that it is not anything to do with the scuttle drains or pollen filter? Had my windscreen changed a few months ago by autoglass, is it likely that this is the cause of the issue? Is there any obvious and easy way of checking that the windscreen is not leaking?

TDC issue? Clio 1.2 petrol
Hi there
Is there any truth in a faulty TDC causing rough idling problems? I've had issues with mine before in the past but was the usual hot/warm engine causing it not to turn over but I've recently read that faulty or dirty TDC can also be cause of rough/poor idle? I'm debating if it's worth taking off to clean up or not.
I know there are lots of threads on TDC faults but I can't get a good idea if it really is something which affects idling issues.

Renault Master 2 Rear Brake Caliper Torque Settings
I'm replacing the rear discs and pads on my 2005 Master DCI120.
Having failed to find info about the torque settings on here or anywhere else on the net I called the AA.
The Caliper mount to hub is quoted at 110 Nm
The Caliper slider bolt is quoted at 30 Nm
Having bought a left hand thread retraction tool, I have also discovered that the retraction thread is clockwise not anti clockwise on this vehicle, at least on the offside, which is as far as I've got.

Hello fellow reanault owners I have a question?
On the dvla paperwork it says I own a Megane scenic expression+ on searching the pages of the forum I entered the above information and was given no results.
Am I to assume then I am the only one with this car or has no one posted any topics relating to my car?
I would be most greatfull for any assistance and pointers in this matter and I thank you all in advance.

2002 Renault Clio 1.5dci creaks when turning right
Hi guys, my Clio has just last week passed its mot but has this week started making a creaking noise only when turning right. I've read a few threads and some suggest that it could be power steering fluid... When I bought the car, it didnt for whatever reason come with the handbook and the online manuals are a bit generic (more for petrols than diesel) or will not show the graphics that accompany the instructions. So my question is, could it be that it just needs fluid and where do I top this up or could it be something else that an mot doesn't pick up on? Excuse me for sounding completely blonde but I'm not a car expert and would prefer to explore all avenues before running up garage labour costs. Thanks.

Want to learn how to weld
Not entirely sure where best to post this.
Anyhow i really REALLY want to learn how to weld. I currently can do the majority of needed repairs to my cars except welding.
So how on earth do i go about learning it? How did you guys learn it? Are there courses i can go on? Books? Or did you just buy a cheap unit and just teach your selves through trial and error?
All the other stuff i learnt through trial and error and asking questions. However with something like welding i feel the many errors i will no doubt make at the start could be very detrimental. Even dangerous depending on the area.

2.0L Scenic RX4 Deep Spark Socket
Hi team!
My scenic is showing symptoms of misfiring. Juddering/loss of power on acceleration etc. Idle seems erratic, sometimes over revs.
Replaced the coils. Only slightly improved the problem, my next step is the Spark Plugs....
The only problem is, the famous 16mm Deep Socket i've been recommended online and instore doesnt fit!
the 21mm seems to fit the Bosch WR7DP plugs that the AutoStore recommended. But it cant fit down the coil chamber to the plugs :/
Frustrations setting in now.
Shall i just buy a deep socket set and hope for the best?
Any advice for the above would be greatly appreciated :D

Laguna 2 Ph 2 - Help replacing front badge please!
Hi guys, I've come here hoping one of you nice fellas will be able to help me out.
Had the front badge nicked off the front of my 05 reg Phase 2 Laguna 2, so bought a replacement off ebay - so far so good.
However when I came to replace it there is nothing to fix it to - is there supposed to be some sort of backing behind the badge? I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like so I don't know if I'm missing something or not :confused:
I've attached a photo so you can see what I'm dealing with.

electrical issue after new handbrake motor fitted
Hi i am after some advice we have a renault scenic 05 1.6 and have recently had a new motor fitted for the handbrake as it ceased working. We had it in a garage today that have the machine to communicate with the computer and it worked for a second then stopped working. They have checked the motor and said it is all fitted correctly so there must be something electrical wrong. Has anyone mechanically minded any ideas on what it could be or had a similar problem with their car.

No radio indication on dashboard
My radio is working but there is no indication on the dashboard panel..it remains blank.. and the stalk controls are not working for the radio controls at all. When this first happened it was intermittent but now is permanent. I suspect a problem with the stalk as sometimes the windscreen wash does not work. Any ideas?

Traffic EGR valve 1.9? 2.0?
Hello all I am trying to help a friend who has what he thinks is a Traffic 1.9 DCI it broke down and the AA told him it was the EGR valve so I researched the removal etc on you tube ready to change it/clean refit it?
When he arrived his engine looks nothing like any on you tube (and I have watched loads) thus I cannot find the EGR on his model the only picture of an engine thats in his refers to a 2.0 DCI thats in a mini bus (will try to post a picture) any ideas where the EGR is but it is no the one straight ahead with 3 bolts thats easy to spot and change (according to the videos)

NEED URGENT HELP - Heating and E Windows!

I have 2 issues that I need to get fixed asap but worried the cost will be too much!
Fault 1 - My drivers and rear driver side windows have stopped working. You cant hear anything when their pressed and they seem lifeless. Both the passangers front and rear are working fine. I've tried the fuses but they seem ok. The drivers is a few inches down and I have tried for trick where you take the 25 fuse out and in and it goes up a few inches when you dead lock the car but nothing, so at present it is wedged closed. What could this be? How much would a garage charge?
Fault 2 - My heating works on setting 1 and 2 but not on setting 3 and 4???? Any ideas? Again what about costs to fix?

No Haynes manual for the MODUS !!
Can't find a Haynes for the modus is it because its the same manual for the Scenic and Modus or may be I need a Nissan Note manual as its the same vehicle minus a few things HELP PLEASE!!

Engine Knackered? Get a second opinion
Hi all
Put the car (lag 2 V6)into a dealer because it was convenient - the car has a major engine wobble - turned out cylinder 6 had a miss-fire. Dealer tells me they swapped around the coils and the M.S was still there so it must be the valves/pistons - probably a write off then. Engine has done 69k miles?? Couldn't believe it and I'm glad I didn't. Put her into a local garage for a compression test and she passed with flying colours! So new spark and coils on order - not cheap for a 6 cylinder but sh*t load cheaper than an engine rebuild. Not going back to the dealer for anything now apart from getting my £68 back from them for the crap diagnose!
I could have written her off or spent a load on an head rebuild - Get a second opinion!

2002 Renault Master wiper relay
Problem with wipers,can anyone point me in the right direction for where wiper relay is.
Intermittent and on with washer function not working also will not return to normal position when speed one or speed two used . Washers work fine. Have swapped out motor and stalk think it maybe the relay.
