Car was fine, than i stalled it and it has never been the same since,After stalling it simply clicked when the start button was pressed, then after a few presses it started, but it would not restart after i parked it. The Battery is not charging and no battery light on the dash illuminates at any time, or any warning light or messages such as "charge fault" The car starts with a booster pack, but the battery dies as not charging. Does the light have a fuse? Is there some secret renault only message it is telling me by never lighting? Any help would be appreciated

Laguna 2002 ABS Light
I have the ABS light, Service light and break light on, first started a few miles into a drive but then went out next time I took the car out but since has stayed on, I had had a friend come round and plugged it in but no faults show for the ABS.
I get a reading from all the wheel sensors and when driving all match. no fault to say the pump is not working after driving I do get a speed fault show but clearing the fault will not turn the lights off, I have tried disconnecting a wheel sensor and that will give a fault. the front LH wheel sensor feels loose. any help thoughts on this would be great.

Clio Thermostat. Draining Coolant Short Cut.
When renewing my thermostat, Clio 1.2, 2007, I used a short cut, which removes the need to jack car up, remove the plastic shield, and the bottom hose.
Instead, Place tray under and behind near side front wheel, get a length of suitable hose, that will fit over the bleed screw on the thermostat housing, poke the hose through the gap at the right hand side, rear of the plastic shield, and into the drain tray, let it drain till it stops, it will take the level down enough to remove the housing, re use your saved clean coolent.:grin2:

Boot won't lock and centre light is weird on 04 Clio
Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I recently bought my first car which is a 5 door 04 Clio, had to do some work on it like changing wheel bearing and reconnect the reverse switch. Anyway we only have two more things to do.
Number 1 problem is the boot won't lock when using the central locking and I seem to have to close it quite hard to make the door alarm not go off? so to me it doesn't seem like it's latching or something so I was hoping if I could get some help please?
Number 2 is the centre brake light doesn't work when braking for some reason but when I unlock the car it turns on? Wonder if anyone can help with that please?
Appreciate guys!

OBD Scanner ?
And so I discover my 2002 Renault has an OBD port I assume is for the purposes of diagnosing faults, of which I am interested in as I do have a fault I have an idea I might know what is the cause of, but still I think an OBD scanner would be a useful tool to add to my Renault servicing equipment. But given I am new to OBD stuff I have no idea what I should be looking for in a scanner apart from it should be amateur/driver affordable.
Can anyone help in this regard, what affordable useful and reliable scanners are available, what should I be looking for ?
(Fault ; SRS warning light and yeah my first port of call is to hard wire the connections under the seats as I am aware what was occasionally flashing became solid after I had messed around with stuffing stuff under the front seats and yeah I have been on Youtube to discover a possible and possibly likely in poor connections I will at first remedy before I dig further)

Changed the electronic handbrake and nothing!
Firstly, hello from me. Newby on the site so happy to be able to squeeze the experienced for info!
So I bought my 56 plate grand scenic with a handbrake fault. Previous owner said it needed a new one. Nothing works from the handbrake switch on the dash. No motor mechanism noises or anything except for the warning messages on the dash. So I bought a second hand full electronic handbrake and me a an a mechanic friend fitted it. Straight forward plugged it in and still nothing. I read somewhere that they need to be programmed??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Renault 1.4 Year 2001 Left Hand Drive
Hi,
I noticed water dripping from what looks like a tube leading to the windscreen wiper on the passenger side in the bonnet. There is a seal with a tube in it that slipped out. I pushed it back into the hole it came out of thinking this is what was making the dripping problem. It still drips. It is a black tube with a plastic sleeve. I can't see it conncting to the winscreen wiper water bottle. It leads down to under the battery and then I can't see where it goes to. I hope this is enough info, but will take a picture if needed.
Many thanks for your help.

'01 Renault Master - Remote locking syncs but wont work?
Hello all, I am having an issue with my recently bought 2001 Renault Master 2.8td.
My van has remote central locking, when the switch on the roof is pressed, all doors lock or unlock as they should. After discovering the key had a dead battery I replaced the battery and tried to sync the key back to the van by doing the following:
1) Ignition off, press and hold locking switch for 5 seconds, doors lock then unlock and imob light comes on solid
2) Within 10 seconds press the button on the fob once, the doors should lock/unlock (Which they do)
3) Plip should now be synced to the van.
This is where the issue starts, the key has a new battery and the tell tale light flashes when the button is pressed, the van recognizes me pressing the button during the syncing process but after that does not respond to the the key at all. I have also noticed that the key spins in the drivers side cab door, so to lock the van I need to push the pin down on that door, get out of the passenger side, and then make sure all doors are locked with the key.
Anyone had any issues like this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated, As I would love to be able to just lock the van once and walk away knowing it is secure!
Thanks, Mike.

Clio misfire P0304 + P0300 codes **Fixed**
Hi, I have looked through the Cleo posts for anything on misfires Can't see anything only stalling & not starting problems. My Daughters car starts fine with tick over around 850/900 rpm.
The codes I'm getting are
(1) P0304 Misfire Cyl 4 - Current
(2) P0300 Random Cyl misfire - Pending
EML will clear but come on again within a minute or so.
Engine revs ok but tick over is a bit lumpy & it just needs a bit more pushing when driving.
So far I have replaced the spark plugs all 4 & fitted a new single coil unit to Cyl 4 with no improvement
Not sure what to do next any thoughts please on the next step to take.
Thanks in advance George

Clio dci 1.5 Seatbelt warning light/chime fault
Hi,
So I just bought my 2004 Clio 1.5 dci and I love it the only issue I have found if that the seatbelt chime/light keeps going off even though I always have my belt on, I have had a look through some Clio forums but they all come to dead ends!
There must be an easy fix to either disable the light/chime all together or to make it work as is should. I'm not really wanting to cut any wires if I can avoid it as I don't want to affect my MOT or insurance premium as I believe it's connected to the airbag.
Thanks for any help in advance

Electric power steering motor, same thing as electric power steering pump?
Hi, I have a MK3 Laguna Expression 2008 1995cc dci 130 with an electric power steering problem which, I'm advised, probably needs the power steering motor replaced/repaired. When I look for parts, all I seem to see for my car is electric power steering pumps; is that the same thing? Leading on from that, I'm also confused by references to power steering fluid for the same car! I thought only hydraulic systems required fluid to control the steering but I guess I'm wrong? If so where is the fluid tank located in my car?

P2263 error in Renault fluence 1.5 DCI
Dear All,
I've recently bought a Renault fluence 1.5 DCI 2012 car that has made 170000 km so far. The engine failure hazard accompanied with STOP and maintenance lights popped on the car dashboard. the car was tested for error codes, first I got the P0299 error code which has changed to P2263 error code few days after the first check.
I've tried changing the turbo boost control valve but still the problem exists. The turbo boosts fine for few seconds and then there is no boost.
Can you please advise?
Many Thanks

Kangoo - SRS light ?
One yellow light on the dashboard of which is mildly annoying but worrying all the same, what I believe is the SRS warning light. Now before I bought the vehicle I was aware there were issues with this light noted in the MOT advisories accessed via the registration on the government website and yes, it was there flicking on and off whilst I did the test drive to which the vendor told me it always did and it had passed the MOT of which I was also aware.
Now I read later that as of 2013 the appearance of this light on the dashboard makes the vehicle an instant MOT failure so it's rectification is of paramount importance if only for that, but greater is the functioning of a system I would rather not have in the vehicle, I am new to these systems.
First of all is the appearance of this little yellow light an automatic MOT fail ?
And secondly, since I am aware the Kangoo Mk1 is loosely based on the Clio, am I right in thinking the SRS warning light issue reported of so many Clio's could be the same with the Kangoo, if in which case I will follow the advice laid out for the Clio as in attending to the wires under the seats first ?
But if not what's under the seat I understand the ECU itself being illogically placed under the cup holder on Clio's might have received some inadvertent spillage, is the ECU in the same place on the Kangoo Mk1?
But otherwise I read also another place that can produce that irritating little light is on the steering column, the connection with the air bag, either the rotating connection or even the connector from that rotating connection to the wiring harness, where some have reported simply squeezing this connector cures the light, but otherwise a noise may be heard whilst steering to perhaps indicate wear, perhaps on high mileage vehicles, my vehicle not being high mileage so no noise is being heard.
I will attend to the under seat possibilities first but is this light an MOT fail ?
And though I hear of this problem with so many Clio's I am not hearing of it with Kangoos, is there a reason for this ?

Clio Mk3 Front end crunch
Help please!
My son has wiped the front of his 2005 Mk3 1.5 Dci Clio off by pulling out of a side turning into the side of another car - 2 days after passing his test!
The damage seems to be superficial, requiring:-
Slam panel frame,
Headlamps x 2,
Intercooler pipe,
Aluminium cross member
all of which are either here or on their way to me.
It also needs a bumper.
As they are also damaged, I will need to replace the large bracket which clips to the rear of the bumper and the deformable structure. As most new bumpers in primer or prepainted will not include them, can I use a set from a facelift (2009-2012) Mk3? I cant find the pre-facelift ones anywhere?
Also, the panel which seems to fit across the top of the slam panel (visible when the bonnet is open and has the warning labels on) has shattered.
I would appreciate any help with names or part numbers please.
No doubt, when I try to rebuild the car, I will realize what all the other assorted bits of plastic which were scattered across the road were for.
Thanks in advance

Renault Clio Campus 1.2 2007 Airbag system and pretensioners
Hey guys, please bare with me as I've no clue about cars and even less about my Clio so I'll try my best to word it how you'll understand. Basically I had a low speed impact in my car, the passenger side pretenioner fired but not the air bag. Mechanic has told me I'll need a new passenger pretensioner/anchor which I guessed, but also a new airbag control module (Do I need 1? Or 2?). He also said the part numbers has to match my cars ones, now... if I was a part number, where would I be? It also has its MOT in a week and I can't seem to source the parts so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
