Espace timing belt change

Trying to change the timing belt on my Renault Espace IV -05 and have some questions.
I see in several forums that you can lock the flywheel with a big screwdriver, the question is where do you put it?
Another question is whether the bolt in the pulley is right or left-handed.

Traction Control on after new rear brake pads help needed

I've done a few brakes over the years so I had a go at the rear brakes on my Megane MKIII Tourer 10 plate today. The rear offside were metal on metal so I followed guides and took advise and using my rewind tool it went back pretty easy making sure I took the cap off the brake fluid, bleed nipple loosened, hand brake off. The nearside were a dam side harder to get the caliper to go back. I used a touch of penetrating fluid under the seal just ot help it but it seems very very stiff.
Eventually it went back enough to fit the new pads. I put it all back then noticed I caught the front lights so the battery low message was up. I tried turning the car over but got 2 chugs the a message "TRACTION CONTROL ON" followed by a "ESP ON". Now the car wont start and I have a high pitched noise coming from the engine. When I lock the car engine off there's a really loud high pitch noise so now I cant even lock the thing
Just wondering , if I have caught a sensor or something, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Kangoo 1 2006 wiper switch removal

Hi I have a 2006 kangoo, I am looking for any advice or info on removal / replacement of the wiper switch. I have looked around this site and also on youtube and so far drawn a blank.

I have removed the steering column covers and attempted to disconnect the electrical connector at the rear of the switch, however the cables entering the connector appear to be tightly clamped behind it thus preventing withdrawal of the connector from the switch assembly.

Is it necessary to drop the steering column slightly to enable removal of the electrical connector.

Any advice that could be offered on this topic will be most welcome.

Thanks.

Hi i'm new here. I have a 2009 Renault Koleos and i'm have problems with the in car heater. I can hear the blower going but no hot air comes out the vents. If i turn the temperature down for the air conditioner it will blows out a cold gale, great in the summer but in this current climate not so. I've taken it to my local garage, they have changed the thermostat and the water pump but this has made no difference at all, has anyone got any advice?

Scenic Recirculation Flap Ticking, motorised

Hi
Just got that dash out for fixing blower issue.

Just a week after we bought the car the recirculation valve started hitting the end stops (I presume). I saw similar threats for the megan here but this is likely different here,

I think there are two ways this thing works, there should be end stop switches which probably failed and then some cog teeth possibly broke.
Now it moves, but hits the ends, tick tick tick, and then after 3 seconds the software probably turns off the motor to protect it.
Can it be fixed reasonably easy? I presume this (pic driver side middle console nr left lower leg) may be the servo motor unit, can someone please confirm?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi i am a new member and this is my first question so i need your help because i am disappointed with my car and i don t find any solution nowhere.
The problem is leaking roof.I have gone to the technician last 2 weeks at least 7 times and the result is no solution.
When it rains the the internal frame is filing up with water and at the first brake press the passenger is taking a bath due to leaking roof.
The technician tried to find where the water is coming on the frame but no luck.My question is there any service manual about the roof
to find how to dissasembly the roof.Does anyone know if the two external frames which are on the central roof above the glass dissasembly?
I would appreciate your help.

Clio immobilised

Hi. I own a 1.4 16v clio 2004. Went to go out earlier but key fob didnt unlock car though light does come on on key. Opened car manually via passenger door and opened driver door. Found that the immobiliser light wasn't flashing at all. Put key in ignition and all other icons came on but no immobiliser light. Tried to start car but wouldn't turn over at all. Also found the hazards won't come on eventhough switch seems to work nor will lights come on. Car was fine friday when last used. I did take it to jet wash friday so wondered if that could have caused something electrical to get wet to cause it. Any ideas on what could be the cause greatly received

Radiator top hose - internal diameter ?

Can anyone tell me what the internal diameter of a 1.4 petrol ( K7J ) radiator top hose ( the one that goes from the thermostat housing to the top of the radiator) on a Kangoo?

The reason I ask is given my rather expensive travails of late I wish to fit an independent water temperature gauge of which will need a T piece adapter fitting inline the radiator top hose and I really don't want to disturb that system again to measure that internal dimension before it comes to fitting the T piece.

I will also be fitting a fan over ride switch and fan in operation tell tale light.

Me paranoid - yeah, I can't go through that lot again, I need a independent coolant temperature monitor and means to over ride if necessary.

Trafic 2.0 DCI

Evening All,

First off, I must be a glutton for punishment.

A year or so ago I had a 2007 Trafic 2.0 DCI 115 with 115,000 miles on the clock (full Renault service history). I purchased the van on around 95,000 miles and for the 1st 20,000 miles in my ownership it didn't miss a beat! After the 20,000 miles it missed several.

I spent approx. £2500.00 replacing 4 injectors (2 snapped) & a turbo, only to have the van break down 1 month later with a seized crankshaft - great! I swiftly got rid of the van and vowed never to get another trafic, but as times gone on I really miss driving it and its great practicalities.

I'm back looking for a van and wondered from what year did the injector issue end? Id like another 2.0 DCI and have around £5/6k to spend - hopefully this will get me something half decent :)

For me, buying a van of any manufacturer can be so hit and miss and there isn't much point researching "what is a reliable van?" because I don't think it exists..? Is the best solution to this buy a van for £5/6k and get a 12month (or more) warranty?

Any advice on van hunting would be much appreciated. Id like another LWB for transporting motorcycles mainly.

Cheers,

Pete

Central lock replacement

Hi

I currently own a Renault Laguna 1,6 estate 2003. My lock-problem started with the well-known worn out key card micro-switches. I solved that problem. But now, the central lock is turning crazy when the key card is close to the vehicle, meaning it is locking itsself without me pushing the button on the keycard! The microswithes is intact.

So, should i try to solve this by troubleshooting on the already-existing locking system, or (as one renault-user has already done) by installing an aftermarket kit (universal kit from ebay)? Sorry for my non-native English guys..

Cheers

A man goes in to see his doctor.
‘So, Mr Froud, what seems to be the problem?’ Asks the doctor.
‘Well, It’s my hip, knee and ankle, they keep talking to me.’ Mr Froud says.
‘Mr Froud, I doubt that is true’ responds the doctor ‘but could you show me?’
‘Easily Doctor, simply place your stethoscope on my hip, and listen...’

So the doctor places his stethoscope on the man’s hip, and as the man raises and lowers his leg the doctor hears ‘lend me twenty pounds, lend me twenty pounds’ from the hip.
Puzzled, the doctor moves his stethoscope to the knee joint, and, clear as day ‘lend me ten pounds, lend me ten pounds’ can be heard.
With an inkling of the problem he moves on to the ankle, and as the ankle is moved ‘I need five pounds, I need five pounds....’

‘Ah, sir, I know what is going on here’ states the doctor, ‘Your leg is broke.’
