Hi, I recently bought a 2005 renault megane sport. The car had been in a accident previously and the car wont seam to lock. The indicators flash when the fob is pressed but the locks wont ingage and there is a click noise that comes from down by the passenger footwell when tring to lock from the inside. How can i fix this problem ? could it be some sort of saftey feature due to the accident or a fuse ?? Adam

Clio ECU wiring harness problems
I have a Clio 2055 1.2 16v petrol 5dr Hatchback, I purchased it a month ago, all went well until it lost power and went into limp mode, after a question of illimination I think I have determind that the ECU main cable, it has been tampered with in the past, as the insulation tape around the cable is quite fresh, when you pull the cable up towards the battery area the car starts, Is it better to repair or replace, and if replacement is the answer how difficult is to do yourself, or do you need expert help ?

Led on Keycard
My neighbours Lag I has a locking problem. Neither of his two keycards will lock the car nut unlock once over-ridden by the internal locking switch.
When the unlock switch is pressed on either card the LED on the card illuminates but doesn't illuminate when the lock button is pressed. Both cards have had fresh batteries fitted.
The question I ask - should the LED flash when either button is pressed.
It's 3 years since I owned a Lag II and I can't remember so can some kind member check their keycard to see.
Additionally the drivers door window keeps losing it's one touch facilty - is there a connection - any ideas.

Trafic pk6 gearbox rebuild
Hi i have a trafic (2003) with 117k on the clock the gearbox was getting louder and whining more, it was crunchin into 2nd and 3rd, i decided to have it taken out before it shat itself, but am now getting quotes of £1000 plus for a recon box! Any one know where i can get a recon box from, or know of someone who can rebuild mine for a reasonable price.

Scenic II - 2004 - Climate Control / Heater Problem
Hi,
I have owned a Scenic II 54 plate for a few months now. It's a top of the range version with the digital climate control / air con display.
Basically everytime you start the car the heater blowers will come on permanently, there is a rumbling / click noise that comes from the passenger side that lasts for a few seconds. The display shows the fans as being off, i.e not coloured in but air still blows out, and turning them up or down doesn't do anything to shut them off. It just seems like its stuck on full. The temperature settings work and so do the position buttons i.e footwell, vents or windscreen vent on.
The Air Con does need a re-gas as its not cold at all, but I will not be getting it refilled until I can sort this problem.
I have read on here about the "Resistor Packs" being faulty, therefore I took out my dash display and tried to get my hand in the hole that is to the right but could not feel anything or see anything that looked like a resistor pack, I now believe that these are only used on the models with the non-digital climate controls.
Can anyone tell me where to access this and if it's easy enough to get to, I can't afford to take it to Renault to get fixed.
Another thing to note is that the passenger footwell floods during heavy rain and this may have possibly caused this issue?

There's so much on the forum regarding this problem, that I don't know where to start looking....so I thought I'd ask.
I have a '53 reg Scenic 2, and the heater blower only works on settings 1 & 2.
Initially, I thought it'd be the resistor pack issue which is pretty well documented in the forum - but I've since been told that if the resistor was at fault, the blower would still work on 4 as this setting bypasses the resistor..
Any advice anyone..??

Looking to buy a group 1 of group 1,2,3 child seat to be used in our 2001 Megane Mk1ph2 and our Volvo V40 but majority use in the Megane does anyone have any recommendations that are a good fit the Megane, isofix or not?

Kangoo 1.5dCi advice..
Hi all,
I have had quite a major problem with my Trafic and it could be that it is off the road for a while...:(
I am toying with the idea of buying a small stop gap van while mine is off the road.
Anyway there is a 2004 Kangoo 1.5dCi for sale privately where I live and was just wondering if I went for it if there were any common faults with these vans I should check out?

Need help - Parcel shelf - Scenic II - whats missing pls?

I've recently bought a 2nd hand Grand Scenic (2007 Scenic II) and have been trying to source some missing parts from the car. I've got everything now other than the section which connects the parcel shelf when extended. I'm stuck because I dont even know what I'm looking for and I appear to have stumped my local Renault parts dept too.
I've attached some pictures below - could someone help to tell what part is actually missing please? ie is it a part of the parcel shelf which is broken or is it a missing bar?

Scenic 1.9dci Fault code B120D
Can anyone help? just had my scenic on diagnostics and came up with error code B120D and B120F the B120D says relay terminal 15 malfunction does anybody have an idea where this is?

Megane injection fault
Hi, I have a 2004 megane 1.5 dci, I have just replaced the cylinder head as the timing belt had snapped, the timing is spot on but the car will now not start and comes up with " Injection fault " on the dash, there is fuel getting to the injectors but the pressure seems weak although I cannot verify this, the car does occasionaly try to start but wont. Any ideas / suggestions would be much appreciated.Thanks, Richie.

Another Laguna Turbo problem
I suffered a blown turbo a couple of years ago and last week I started to have problems again (basically the turbo just stopped working)
I took it to a freind who is a mechanic and he said it was either the the ERG valve or the turbo itself. I have just taken off the valve and cleaned it and whilst under the engine thought I would see if the turbo actually span. i finally got to it but i can only get it to turn a couple of mm's either way. Does this mean the turbo has gone?

timing problems...still!
hi, i have a 2001 clio 1.4 8v, i bought it with a snapped cam belt a while ago.
i posted on here a couple of months ago that i was having trouble finding the timing marks.
i have had alot on so had to put it to one side for a while.
i have now talked to renault and they told me that marks are on the belt, the one that goes round the inside is for the crank.
i have set this up and when i test it and turn the crank till that cam mark comes back to the top the crank is way off its mark.
i have done this with the engine rotation being clockwise as you look at the cam belt, is this correct?
i tried to put the belt on with the rotation being anti clock wise and you can feel the pistons and valves are really close to touching.
this is doing my head in and i need to get it on the road and sold.:confused:
i have head that the crank sprocket has an alighment slot that can move under pressure, is the true? i take it you have to take the crank sprocket of to check this.
hope i have explained ok with out confussing you, please help!

Modus Xenons
Can anyone help me! :confused:
The Xenon lights on my 06 1.5Dci 86PS Modus Initiale are not very good. I end up driving with the front fog lamps on at night on unlit roads. The main beam is fine. There is very little spread across the road in front of me unless it is really dark, particularaly compared with other cars that pass me on the motorway etc. There is no flicker or anything and both sides are equally bright (not).
The Xenon lights on my previous Laggy Sport Tourer were brill: I never needed to use main beam. Similaraly, the light's on my wifes 2000 Scenic are good compared with my Modus.
I did have an alleged faulty rear suspension sensor, but replacing that did not cure the issue. I can see the light rise up when they are 1st turned on.
Can anyone shed any light on the problem (pun intended!)? Is this a design fault with all Modus with Xenons fitted?
I'm thinking of replacing the light clusters with non Xenons as I've put up with this issue for almost three years! (I should have asked sooner :d)
Any advice would be gratfully received

I just changed the piston rings in my 2001 15dci clio. only 2nd engine ive ever doen :S lol.
Anyway started it today and its not sounding healthy. Here is a video of it.
