Hi i have a problem with the radiator fan on my 2.0 16v 1999 megane coupe i have tested to see if the fan works by bypassing the switch in the radiator and it does come on so i got a new switch today fitted that and still nothing i am running the fan on a link to the battery for now could anyone help me with this as it is doing my head in now lol as i dont know what else it could be.

scenic 1.9 dti turbo removal
fixin up a scenic i bought for next to nothing with T+T till feb so worth a wee turn to use for our holidays etc.
fitted a new aux belt and tensionr that was causing a racket and thats all good
ive removed the airbox and intercooler hoses to disconnect egr and make a sandwich plate all good
now its raining and tomorrow im wanting to remove the inlet manifold to decoke it as its pretty blocked
also want to remove the turbo as the compressor side / and intercooler all the way to inlet manifold is quite oily and when i started it up and revved it with intercooler pipes removed it spat out a fair bit of oil then cleared not too bad
are these turbos common for collecting oil in the inlet via a breather running back or something hopefully?
or
is it a garret turbo that are bad for leaking oil?
so just to see what im expecting tomorrow when i go out and start stripping
ive tried taking engine mount off but engine not got much pull towards the front to gain better access.
are these just a pig of a job to remove inlet and turbo or do i need to go in from below

megane 1.4 wont start
hi all iv got a 2004 megane 1.4 that intermitanly wont fire up it turns over just fine but refuses to fire up if i persist it will start then be fine for another week or so. just lost as to what it can be

Grand Scenic AC Trinary Presure Switch - Correct Operation?
I have a 2006 Grand Scenic 1.9 DCi.
My aircon began to sound strange in the spring, it was gurgling for a while which I am told was indicative of low pressure and eventually stopped completely.
I had it re gassed it worked for a few more weeks then failed again.
A leaking condenser was diagnosed I had that replaced recently and the car regassed again at a local independent.
Unfortunately although he fixed the leak the aircon still does not come on now.
I understand from other threads here that possibly because of the total loss of pressure I need to get the fault codes cleared using clip which is a main dealer job?
I don't want to end up going around in circles so before I do I have also read on here that the trinary (or is it actually a pressure sensor ) can also fail. so I wanted to test it as best as poss.
I can't find any functional info about the sensor here though. So first question:
Is it simply a switch (or rather two switches) as it has three wires?
If not
Then I assume it has a resistive output which varies with pressure, mine certainly seems to be the latter type?
Which leads to my next question:
With the sensor removed from my car I measured the resistance across the three pins.
I get 7.6K 14.4K and 22K obviously depending on how I measure across the three pins.
Is that roughly correct for a removed sensor?
If so then should those values change once I screw it back in?
Mine do not!
Is that good or bad?

Scenic Door Entry Lock Problem
Hi, My wifes 2004 1.9dci Grand Scenic Dynamique. It has the hands free entry,where you just open the doors as lond as the key is in yor pocket.
However all of sudden the passenger side (front and rear) doors no longer work. I can still unlock the car by using the card or by going to the driver side (front or rear).
Has anyone go any ideas, ia have been trying to get the car up together for her but his one has got me stumped ......... so please help!:(:(

laguna 2 front passenger elec window switch
The front passenger electric window switch is inside the body of the Dior handle. I have removed the cocer to the switch but I can't pull out the switch itself.
Please can someone help to explain how to remove/reconnect It? I tried to prise the side of the door where the switch is comnected but It's not doing anything.
Maybe It's broken as i assume it should go in from the top not to be inside.

clutch pedal
hi only bought my first renault on thursday all was fine no probs on test drive so i bought the car
only today when i went to select first the clucth pedal went down to floor and struggled to get the gear it would be ok for a while then it would happen again am i right in thinking these cars had a recall on them car only 105k no slipping of clutch so hopping its just a spring on the pedal or master or slave cylinder any help would be appreciated guys
ps love they way the cars drives and all the kit it has

Engine problem?
Hi guys
Just got myself a 1.9dci laguna 2 on a 52 plate.
Firstly loving the car. So glad I didn't go down the boring mondeo route.
There does seem to be a slight problem though.
When accelerating in first and second there is a slight delay misfire at approx 2000 revs as well as a slight vibration noise. Every other gear seems fine and fuel consumption is in 50's.
Car has done 127,000 miles
Any idea what this could be?

Grand Scenic 1.5 dci oil leak
My Scenic has developed a oil leak, it's coming from behind the bumper and at the front of the passenger wheel arch. Does this car have a oil cooler in front of the rad? I can't see any oil leaking from the engine or any oil on the undertray between the rad and the engine.

kangoo 15dci wont
Hi i have been having idle problem for quit a will have changed filters idle valve air flow meter stil the same i changed the rail to day have been bleeding it all day it wont start keeps putting up df137 rail pressure low do i had all the injectors disconnecter do i need to reprogmme them any ideas thanks:confused:

suspect maf problem
hi,i have a 1.9dci renault scenic 2004,at moment its very sluggish lacking power,it starts first time hot or cold,its sluggish hot or cold,my question is my valise clip is saying no faults,but when cheching sensor parameters i noticed that maf reference goes up to 900 plus and maf reading only goes to 550,there is a massive delay in throttle response from idle when trying to rev up,any advice welcome.

Scenic window regulators and rewiring pulley
:mad:Does anyone have an easy way of changing an old type rear regulator window clip I am finding it very hard to get the old clip off as the wires have so much tension in them is there an easy way to remove and refit an upgraded one. Also has anyone a diagram of how to rewire the rear regulator as there are 2 lengths of wire. My clip broke but the wires are fine but need put back on the electric black pulley wheel.

Kangoo randomly locks/unlocks while driving and while parked
My 2004 Kangoo dci has developed a problem that I have seen described several times, but no solution so far.
The central locking randomly locks then unlocks, while driving as well as parked. When parking it can cary on for several minutes, then it settles down in whatever state it was originally (i.e. locked or unlocked). It seems to be worse when it's wet. Moreover, sometimes when I press the doorlight switch on one of the sliding doors, on releasing the switch, the central locking also rapidly locks/unlocks.
The car can have long episodes of trouble free operation, then suddenly it just doesn't stop and drives me mad! As I said, it seems to be related to rain.
It's obvious there is some electrical fault somewhere when it is wet, but where do I start looking?
I've inspected the switch assembly on the sliding door and that one seems fine.

How do I put the meal trays back up ?
Hi, Please Help !! I have a 2005 Renault scenic megane, the problem is I've pulled the meal trays down to use but don't know how to raise them back up to there original position. I don't want force them incase they snap or something. Does anyone know if there is a knack to putting them back up.

Laguna 2 Initiale inop front windows/mirrors
Hi all
I'm a new member and we have 2 French cars in the family. We have recently got rid of our Saabs/Mercs to replace them with a Renault and Pug. Anyway, the wifes Laguna 2 (facelift) is playing up. Its a 55 plate Initiale spec and we love it but recently the front elec windows and mirrors have stopped working. All fuses appear ok, rear windows and all other elecs are fine. Is this likely to be a broken wire, dodgy relay or what? Any help would be much appreciated.

meal trays
Hi, Help!!! I have a 2005 Renault scenic megane. My problem is I've raised the meal trays up to use them now I don't know how to put them back to there original position. I don't want to force them incase they break, does anyone know if there is a knack of putting them back in down.
