My Trafic has started to display the Glow Plug light when started.
The light comes on and extinguishes as normal when starting and starts fine. But then a minute or so after it comes on again and generally remains on.
The garage has checked the glow plugs for me and they all test fine.
Whilst the light is lit, the van feels to run fine. Plenty of power and fuel consumption is normal. But if the light goes out, then power is reduced a little, it doesn't feel like the turbo, more like fuel starvation.
It was suggested to me that it may be an EGR valve problem, so this has been removed and cleaned. All pipes checked and appear to be fine and without any splits or tears.
The local garage plugged in his diag machine for me the other day and when he eventually got a code is was the P0032 which he suggested was a "Heated Oxygen Sensor" problem.
I asked him to change it, but when I went back he said that wasn't the problem, but he didn't know what it was! Reading on here, it appears that this engine may not have the sensor in question, so that may be why he said that it wasn't the fault.
One other possible symptom is that I get exhaust gasses in the engine bay which can sometimes be seen when the van is stationary at night as the slight mist shows up in the lights, but we have checked the exhaust system and manifold and cannot find any leaks.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Considering a trip to the Renault dealer, but will have to get my mortgage approved first I think :d
Cheers
