Immobiliser fault - warning message
After charging my battery (I disconnected both terminals) when I try to start I get the warning message Immobiliser Fault on the dash (2004 Megan's diesel) and the car won't start. The card is being recognised, the dash tells me to hold down clutch or brake as normal, the engine turns over for a bout a second or two (but does not fire) and then the service light comes on and the message appears. Any ideas?

Final practice - Button pips Vettel at Interlagos
Jenson Button took over the pacesetting from McLaren team mate Lewis Hamilton in the final practice session here at Interlagos on Saturday, which might be the last dry running on the track as rain is forecast this afternoon.
Button set the pace all the way through, cutting down to 1m 13.188s on the medium Pirelli tyres. A late run from Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel put the defending champion second in 1m 13.245s, as team mate Mark Webber narrowly headed Hamilton with 1m 13.385s to 1m 13.389s.

I drive a Koleos Battery went flat recently. When I recharged and stated up teh Start switch starts teh car but will not stop it. It has to be pressed repeatedly and felt alll aroung until ignition is cut Takes about 30-40 seconds Any ideas

headlight problems
after my previous post regarding the melted headlight socket i have changed the socket but the headlight won't work, tried another bulb but still no joy now wondering if its a fuse as i have been told the each bulb has its own fuse ( 2 for dipped +2 for main ) can any on tell me where they are located as it doesn't look like they are in the glovebox fuseboard, a r.a.c. man has told me there are 4 fuse boxes

I have a 3 year old Koleos. Battery went flat some time ago. Re-charged it. Now teh engine starts on the START btton but will not go off without about 20-30 seconds jiggling about and pressing in different parts of teh button surface. Any ideas Please

Kangoo wiring diagram
Hi all,
I have just received a 2002 diesel kango van. the heater plug relay is missing and the wiring is bit of a mess, so I need a wiring diagram for the heating cuircuit, or possibly a complete wiring diagram for the car?? as it has a few other issues, new crank shaft sensor on the way. i have searched the net for ages looking for the info but no luck, any ideas?

Megane engine replacement
OK, so I've got a s/h engine with the same numbers as mine.
I'm going to get the cam belt/waterpump changed and am also going to swap over the high pressure fuel pump and injectors from the old engine as I understand they are all coded.
The turbo on the "new" engine looks to be in excellent condition, smooth and stable so providing it's the same number as mine when I get my current engine out of the car, I'll leave it on. Should I renew the oil supply pipe o rings and gaskets as a matter of course?

grand scenic 2005 16valve vvt engine rattle
i haven't been on this forum for about 18months. i had a loud rattle upon start up and was told it was my dephaser pulley. had it sorted including all my belts and all was well. i went for this years mot and they said there was a slight tapping or knocking on my engine. i had an oil and filter change and all seemed ok, as the months have passed a ticking sound is present when i rev. slowly the rattle upon start up has crept back in and now (started today) the noise it makes when being reved is horrendous and it seems to have a constant loud ticking noise. oil levels are ok. any body have any ideas? please help!!!!!

Megane flywheel/clutch
Apart from obvious wear on the clutch plates, how would I tell if my clutch/flywheel assay is knackered?
I can grab the cover plate and move it from side to side (rotationally) on the flywheel. I've never experienced a "dual mass flywheel" before... I presume it's OK to do this?

grand espace 111 v6 bottom hose and rad cold engine overheating HELP!!! :-)
Hi engine overheated and cooling system pressurised and burst a hose without the fans coming on. Changed the hose and replaced the stat. Filled the cooling system and bled it as instructed. On test drive engine overheated blew a hose off so put hose back on and filled and bled again. Another test drive (this time with the pressure cap left loose to save the hose if overheating) Again overheating and the botton rad hose is stone cold as is the rad.

The heater fan stopped working, any ideas as to what the problem might be. Where is the fuse box for the fan??

Sill gouge fix,kinda
After seeking some advice and response from Paul to my bit of sill damage,

I found a small tin of white hammerite that was still in good condition,
I decided against it tho as I wanted to get the job done fast .
I used some loctite stuff Ive used for many years.It has the same smell as "rust eater " a pink jelly that was around a long time ago,
The rust eater I found to be bad , it kinda converted the rust but provided no seal and was a bad key even for primer.
The loctite stuff seals well and is a good primer.
There was a slight scrape thru to metal Much smaller than the hole thru the sealant coating in the pics.
Looks like someone shot a bullet into it!(and I never heard any damage or scrape :)
1st pic is the stuff I used.
2nd pic is with 2 coats of loctite,cured with a hairdryer.
3rd pic is renault touch up paint, also cured off
4th pic is renault lacquer on top.
Not exactly invisible mending! but since its low as long as it doesnt rust who cares :0
