He everybody,

Could somebody my problem? Because I have connected my Can clip tools to My car 2009, LAguna3 2,0dci and I wanted to change the time format(12h or 24h), but the can program wrote a message "its not support" when I tried change 12h format and immediatly the time dissapear. I wanted to set up 24h but it is happening nothing. I have tried other computers and other can clip tools and clip version but it is as same as problem. I think its total dead, but i have done function test with clip the display test and all of segment are flashing on a moment so in my opinion not hardware problem...
How to can I do the time?
Thank you

1.5 dCi 2005 Kangoo - Starting Issue but doing the miles!

$

Hello all,

Sorry that my first post is a request for help! I have been doing my nut in trying to work out what is wrong with our 55 plate Kangoo as it's struggling to start. I have looked at the sticky thread created by the user Coventry but other than the leak-off test everything seems OK.

I'll do the leak-off test tomorrow if I can find time, but I'm extremely busy so before I do I'd like a little clarification as I'm confused by one particular thing.

- The fault codes I have found are P0089 (Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Performance) and P0670 (Glow Plug Module Control Circuit). The 'STOP'/Engine/Coil lights only come back on during acceleration (i.e. overtaking on motorway).

The car will not start at all using the key, it will only bump-start, I'm not going to cry over the glow plugs, but the fuel pressure fault is a big concern. The car was taken to a local garage and before I got chance to ask them to keep back the fuel filter and check it for metal particles they had disposed of it. If it is the fuel pump disintegrating then I don't want to waste time or cash on the vehicle as it won't be worth fixing, but one thing that's making me feel a bit better is that the vehicle is still being used as a daily runner (parking on hills and bump starting every time).

It has done well over 2000 miles since it stopped starting under its own steam - surely if the fuel pump had self destructed and filled the fuel system with bits of metal the car would have come to a grinding halt by now??

The reason I'd like to hear opinions on this is because I know that if an injector is found to be an issue tomorrow, I don't want to spend cash replacing it if the others are due to fail soon due to a fuel pump issue - so any guidance on whether people think the pump could still be at fault despite the mileage would be really great.

Thank you,
J

Koleos 2.0dci boost loss for few seconds in midrange

Hello and thank you for this wonderful forum. Excuse my English, i hope it is good enough to make myself clear.

I have '08 Koleos 2.0dci 150ps manual
The problem is, that when it reaches about 2-2500rpm(sometimes 3000) it suddenly looses boost for a few seconds. It does it in any gear, but most noticeable on second and third. Torque pro shows that when I apply full throttle the boost is gradually reaching 1,3-1,4bars and then suddenly drops to 0,6-0,7bars and stay there for a few seconds and a few hundred RPM(sometimes just a second) then it starts building up to 1,1bar and drops again to 0,9 at the redline. Sometimes I have experienced the problem even with half throttle. It does it even when accelerating with cruise control. Sometimes(very rarely) it is revving normally with no drop in power right to the redline.
I changed the vacuum regulator for the variable geometry of the turbo and cleaned the MAF sensor(it was very oily) but the problem persist.
I used delphi clone to read errors and it shows this:

Have in mind that prior to reading the errors I accidentally have disconnected the vacuum regulator with engine running, so some of the errors may be due to this.
Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Just purchased a 1959 Renault 4CV. It will join my 51 Studebaker, 53 Studebaker and 62 Volvo. Nice little car and has the Daulphine motor to be installed. She is rust free, not even surface rust. Will need paint and interior replaced. Will need a few missing parts.
Front and rear bumper, front emblem, horn button, taillight lenses, rear turn indicator lenses and both inside door handle.. Shout out to anyone that can help with that.

Megane 2 - rattling dashboard

So I've had a rattling dashboard for the past few years and felt it was progressively getting worse to the point it was seriously annoying me while driving lol

Anyway I read elsewhere that silicone spray can fix it and so I took a chance on it. I kind of worked out the main rattle was coming from the sun visor type plastic surround that goes above the steering wheel and the speedometer etc. This just pulls up and out easily.

I bought a can of Wd40 silicone spray which has a straw type connection on it for just £6. It has transformed my life haha

So I took that surround piece of and literally just strayed around the area where it seats and also into the groves etc where it plugs into. I also sprayed right across the end of the dash where it meets the windscreen.

The result is pure bliss! Complete silence all round. So happy with it. Music can now be enjoyed at a lower volume also as no more squeeking and creeking.

Just thought I would put this up in case others are in the same predicament. This is definitely your answer!

Engine management flashing intermittent **Fixed**

Hi folks

My wife's car Renault Scenic 1.6 16v Fidji 2002, has recently passed its MOT after some expensive repairs. We are not in a position to buy a new second-hand car, so it had to be fixed.

The next day we took it on a short ish, trip, around 60 mile round trip, and on the motorway the management light flashed yellow, the engine lost power. We pulled over waited 5 mins, the light went out. We continued for about 5 miles when the problem returned. Where we rang recovery and were brought home.

After a sleep, I used our OBD2 reader and got P0314 Single cylinder misfire, cylinder not specified. We tried a local garage, but they could not fix it till Monday. He said try others as you be able to get it fixed today, nice service we thought.

So we drove around a bit could not find anyone to fix it on Saturday. While we were out the light again intermittently came on, we discovered that giving it more gas, while under load, cleared the problem. When at idle, (light for example) adding gas, no effect. Turning the engine off, also seems to clear the fault.

We are not mechanics and don't have a lot of money. Is it possible to just replace the coil, spark, to fix it cheaply?

We have also considered it may be contaminated fuel, as the car has been waiting for parts for around 2 weeks. It drove fine after we picked it up, started rough running, at startup, ( no light) the following morning after filling the tank up. It then ran normally most of the day until about 10 mile from home, naturally!

A guess as to how much a local garage may charge to fix this.

Thanks for any help provided.

1970 Renault Estafette

Hi all. Complete novice here begging help. I bought a 1970 Renault Estafette 1000. Bought it blind (don't judge my stupidity) all ok got it to body shop and it's being worked on. Big problem tho it needs a new windscreen. Has anyone got any leads on a replacement?

Even bigger problem. It starts up and ticks over, once you accelerate it cuts out. Slight smell of petrol too. Can someone give an idea to what the problem is? It'll go to a garage of it needs it but trying to keep costs down, so any help is greatly appreciated.

1.5 dci fuel consumption - are injectors blocked?

$

I have a Grand Scenic 1.5 dci (2010) 178 000 km on the clock. A trip computer tell a diesel consumption is 7,4 l/100 km but calculated from tank to tank, the real consumption is 6,0 l/100 km. I think the reason for this is probably blocked diesel injector/injectors. On the other hand, is there another possible reason for this?

2007 Clio 1.6 Dynamique - Check gearbox on start up

Hello!

I have a 2007 Clio 1.6 Dynamique Auto.

So recently I've noticed my car feels sluggish when going up hills or pulling away and it feels a bit like it jumps from gear to gear and sometimes feels like its 'clunked' into gear. It also randomly speeds up too. (I'm a new driver so I hope I've described all that ok!) Occasionally it feels completely powerless when pulling away and then everything will catch up and it'll be ok again.

Now seeing "check gearbox" message on dashboard, no spanner or stop message. If I stop the car and restart the engine the message goes away.

Should I take it in for diagnostics or keep running it (could do without spending the £ at the moment!) has anyone had similar prob and what was the outcome?

Thanks!

Hazard warning light problem

Hi
I took my clio mk2 for its MOT recently, one of the failures was the hazard warning light switch. The garage duly replaced and fitted a new one allowing it to pass it's MOT. A couple of days later the hazard warning light has again decided not to work, any ideas on what is causing this problem. Incidently one of the ABS rings was replaced which stopped the service light coming on and the brakes from crunching. !!!

Smoke on the Chevy

Too much hassle to post a video of it all, but had a good laugh at this :

Seems to be stroker V8 Chevy time here at my place - 3 in 2 weeks - guy arrived saying its still running standard points and condenser but the points last all but about 5 km even though he also has a new coil, rotor, cap and wires fitted too ..............:confused: ............. can I help?

Hmmmmm

So fitted a new set of points and condenser myself and went about setting dwell angle through the quaint little door on the distributor cap. ............... about 20 seconds in I see huge plumes of smoke getting ejected over my screwdriver:surprise:

See - pic - points ruined by seemingly too big a current flowing:crying2: .............. on aV8 with that dwell impossible I reckon.:nerd:

Turns out coil he bought is not for points based ignition system - Fancy Mallory thing that gets switched by serious electronics and he didn't know there is a difference

New points and proper coil and shes purring like a kitten!:x

Hi from a beautiful South Africa.
I am not sure if I 'qualify' on the forum, as we refer to my car as a Renault Sandero, whereas it is known as a Dacia Sandero in the UK. It would be interesting to hear why.
It is a 2010 1.6 United, with the United model named after South Africa hosting the FIFA Football Championship in 2010.

Dpf advice kangoo 1.5dci

Hi Folks , hope I can get some expert advice on this system , fault codes are DTC145392 DIFF PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT . PARTICLE FILTER. PERFORMANCE OR OPERATION INCORRECT and DTC010629 INLET PRESSURE CONSISTANCY . INVALID SIGNAL , I was hoping that it would have been the pressure sensor pipes split , I stripped down and pipes were fine , I tried to do a forced regen on renault clip , got to 15% and then failed saying THE RELATIVE PRESSURE INSIDE THE PARTICLE FILTER IS TOO LOW , while clip was plugged in I erased fault code , read statuses on dpf sensor and , at idle is 4mbar even under acceleration it stays at 4mbar and then engine light comes on and limp mode and reading goes to 0mbar ? Could this be a faulty sensor ? Hope someone can shed some light on it for me . Thanks in advance
